Hi guys. I've made a few posts in the last week talking about my struggles in the Village and my desire to give my template a facelift from master swordsman / master doctor to a more defensive based TKM and Master Fencer. But before mastering Fencer going Commando 4-0-0-0.

There is an excellent guide in the stickies for using grenades at Commando 4-0-0-0. This information is compiled from a macro I run and advice from the frinedly folks at the TKA board. So here's how I got to TKM and Commando 4-0-0-0 in less than 2 days with no previous TK or marksman skills.

First let's cover TKM. The key is really grinding to unarmed 4. Once that's done your battle is over. I prefer to do Savort missions on Tatooine at lower levels. No particular reason just my preference Because this is where I got marksman. At unarmed 4 you get spin attack and armed with a speed sliced vibroknuckle it's time to get buffed and head for Dantooine to get in a solo group. Take the 5k quenker missions and in about 2-3 you'll be Novice TKA. Rinse and repeat until you are bored. The TKA folks suggested at TKA 0-0-4-0 I could move to the squill caves but i was fine there. Finished TKM in one day. The idea is to drink 2 brandy, eat ahrisa and canapes and constantly do spin attack one on the nest. Spin 2 takes 2 much mind. I'm wearing composite and my armor took a real beating so if you have a spare set of composite might want to use the junk set to keep from needing to repair the A set. But it's that simple. Spin your way to TKM.

As for Marksman I set up a few macros at the spicefiends behind Mos eisley starport where many people gather for afk XP. You can't do this fully afk because you will have to run about 200 meters and train each skill but that's another advante of this spot because the trainers are so close. As for weapons I used a DL-44 The Han Solo pistol at 2-0 and max dmg of 159. It has low certification so that was a factor. As for rifle I used Cdef to get to rifle 2 then switched to laser rifle to finished out. The delay of 5.3 didn't seem to matter as much as the 300+ dmg. Spraystick is also a good choice going from 3-4 but the Laser works fine. And carbine I used a Dh-20 short carbine with stats of around 3.5 delay and 250 max dmg. All of these were bazaar bought weapons. I'm sure there are faster ways to do this, but not where you can eat, take a nap, watch a movie etc. I use 4 macros. I'll detail them below.

First is the attack macro. I call mine Bazaar. No particular reason. You can adjust the time between attacks as low as you want. i often have my pause at 2 or even 1. And please add loot to keep the spawn in tact.

/ui action targetself;

/ui action cycletargetOutward;

/attack;

/pause 3;

/loot;

/macro Bazaar;

The next macro is an autojoin so you can get a share of the cash from the group. It just works better is everyone is grouped. I call it Join. This one is set to cycle every 3 minutes as opposed to being part of the attack macro and spamming people.

/say May I please have a group invite? Autojoin is set. Thanks;

/join;

/pause 180;

/macro Join;

I also have a boot prevention macro. This assumes you are fighting from a kneeling position. So using it has to stand up and kneel again immediately to preven getting the boot from being inactive. it cycles every 10 minutes but again you can set your own time. I call it Boot.

/stand;

/kneel;

/pause 600;

/macro Boot;

The last macro i run is one to switch between rifle, pistol and carbine. I call it Switch. Of course the first tool bar slot is 00 not 01. the second is 01 etc. You can use these in any order. But let's say we're starting with rifle on toolbarslot 4. First of course you drag your weapons from inventory and place them in the correct toolbar slot and th macro will switch them every 10 minutes. But Do NOT equip the first weapon or when you start the macro it wllunquip be selecting that toolbar slot. Star with the second weapon in this case toolbar slot 5 equipped and when you start the macro it will go back and start at toolbar slot 4 or your first weapon. Again I call this switch.

/ui action toolbarSlot04;

/pause 600;

/ui action toolbarSlot05;

/pause 600;

/ui action toolbarSlot06;

/pause 600;

/macro Switch;

As i said you can't be fully afk because you have to train etc. But it does give you a chnace to make extra XP and make Master Marksman without a difficult grind in only 1 day and you don't need good weapons you'll never use again or even buffs really. You'll only get XP on every 3-5 kills but don't worry it still adds up as long as people don't get greedy and use special attacks or heavy weps to be XP hogs. This non-grinding method can be used to get you to Commando for your force grind. Again for the same reason as grenade grinding. So you have more time to play with friends.

This sounds exactly how a powergamer would do it to me...

Also, if you get decent mind buffs and are migrated properly
spin2 is fine on the way to TKM.

There is no real reason to use comp for grinding unarmed, the only damage you're taking is kinetic. Go get yourself a set of 74% kinetic Ubese, the mind encumbrance (unsliced) for a full set will/should be a bit over 400 -- why carry all that encumbrance for damage types you don't need protection against? Ubese wears out quicker, but mostly just the jacket, and they're cheap. You'll take more wounds to your secondaries than if you wear comp, but Meditate 4 and/or good woundpack-B's will take care of that pretty quick. With a couple brandies and some lightweight Ubese, you can spam Spin2 until the cows come home.

If you're on Scylla, go see Pyke Winoda on Dant ot Tat for your Ubese.. /plug
