Because I haven't converted anything but combat xp to fsxp ..... If you trade in crafting xp and merchant xp along with this do you get fsxp that can be used in any branch...such as enhanced reflexes? The guides I have seen are very vague about wheter crafting and merchant xp and be used to buy boxes in an unrelated field. In other words does if all just go into one big fs vat and become fsxp? Need to know if I should finish my merchant out or trade in the xp.

The guide in the sticky on this site is certainly not vague about what sort of XP converts to what sort of FSXP.

ok that answers some of my question. Thanks. Now what if I convert those things and haven't unlocked those branches yet? will it still be there when I do unlock them?

Yes, your banked xp will still be there, it's just that prior to unlocking a branch in the appropriate tree you have nothing to spend it on.
