Okay, I've been glowy for three days now. Or actually, this is third day. I have been repeating these:

* Travel by shuttle to another location, and wait a few minutes
* Walk approximately 1000m outside of any player or NPC city limit
* Enter combat whilst 1000m outside of a player city
* Log in and out

But no sight of old man yet. This is really annoying cause all I do is wait and wait... I'm having vacation but can't make any progress because of no visit.

Does it normally take like half weeks for old man to visit? I have checked that I am glowy, if you thought that I'm just stupid =)

travel a lot!.

travel between player cities wait about 10 mins at each shuttle then travel again.

do it in a circuit type travel in case he spawns at one port and you left as he just spawned.

he will hang around for a while.

the causes him to spawn faster IMO.

also you need to wait 24 hours from time you get glowy or unlock your 6th branch.

some ppl say 8 hours but its never been so for me so luck.

and yes i have unlocked multiple toons in the new fs system including buddies i have helped.

The only proven way to get your old man with the least stress involved is to find something else fun to do and try to forget that you're waiting.
That way rather than having a boring and frustrating time waiting for him, you can enjoy yourself and have a nice surprise when he does finally come.

Trying to make the old man come is like watching a pot boil.

My suggestions:

Try looting some SEAs from NPCs. You may get some useful ones for when you are padawan, and you can sell ones you don't want.

Hunt some animals for their resources. It is refreshing doing something relaxing like this after the boring FS grind. You can sell your resources too.

I assume you have a padawan template? Grind any extra boxes you need for that template.

I have to say that since i completed my grind it has been really refreshing to do other things than grind FS and wait for village phases. Have patience.

He will come when you least expect him. I had sat in my house for 3 days not knowing that I needed to be outside for him to come. I was talking to one of my friends about it in game and he told me that I needed to be outside the city.... He told me try camping if I could. I walked outside the city and as I was typing a message back to my friend....he showed up. My advice is to stay out of cities...find you a nice place to hunt or camp and he will come.

Don't know.....the only thing you don't want to do is get in protracted combat....stay somewhere where you can actually talk to him when he comes. I would find me a nice quiet place (with a few things to kill) out side a player city and camp and hunt. It will keep your mind off of him and you will be in a good place to meet him. The pure and simple fact is, no one really knows where he will come and not come, but you better your chances if you make yourself available in a "non-city" place.

It took me about 2 days, all i did was try the travel and walk out of the citie, log in and out, i did all the that but nothing happened. So what i did was relax and was patient so i went to Fort Tusken to grind up some more TKA exp. I loged off when i wentback to my Guild Town (the one i pledged allegiance to) and meditated in my house. When i got back on i went to my shuttle port and was talking to a friend of mine, when all of a sudden an old man told me he wanted to speak with me. Funny thing is i was complaining how he wasnt showing up and then he showed. So i did try the whole shuttleing and logging thing a little but it didnt realy help, so what i am saying is be a man and act llike a Jedi (patient) and wait HE WILL COME WITHIN 72HOURS i promise. good luck and may the force be with you

i agree with the others, if your waiting on unlocking visit. just relax and he will come. lol. but it is nice to have that what i call pressure grind over with, don't you think. i'm waiting on him aswell. and i decided that hey, i don't have to see that dag on village anymore, i'm going to do something else. lol but he will come, just keep your spatial tab up just in case you don't see him, but you'll be able to see that he's talking and know he's right behind you.

My other chatacter got the glow this past Friday and was visited by the old man yesterday. The best thing to do is not worry about it and go about business as usual. He'll come when you least expect it. I was in the middle of redeeding some factories when he just poped out of nowhere. Thought I was being attacked at first.

Listen to this one.
If you wait for the old man. it's like watching a kettle boil. it won't happen
Just try to keep out of the npc cities and he'll visit you when he's ready.
