I recently became glowy and had the question "if I talked to the old man and killed the sith and got the waypoint to the village would I lose any skill points if I didn't want to start the village quests right now?". No one has answered this clearly as of right now and I am desperate to know the answer as I do not want to become jedi just yet but look forward to doing it in the future. If anyone can answer this question it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm unclear why you're asking this. You don't lose any skill points for going to the village. Why do you think that you lose points?

You can do the quests and not train the Boxes. You can also convert your xp into FS xp until you have enough to train in all 24 boxes at the same time

Angli's answer is correct.
I did the bank xp method.
Unlocked all the branches i needed, and banked all of my XP till i had enough XP to train all 6 trees (24 boxes) in one go.
Did this last night, got all my 6 trained up

Thanks for the input guys. For those that didn't understand why I was asking this. I plan to go jedi but not right now. I do not want to screw up my template which is master BH master carbineer master marksman. To pick up jedi woul mean I have to surrender carbineer. I would like to continue to be a BH until I get tired of it then I would like to experience the other side. I think that trying out both sides of a lifestyle in game would give me a better appreciation for both professions. For all you jedi I am about to kill or have killed it is nothing personal. I am merely trying to experience both sides in game which interest me most and are the reason I love the Star Wars genre.

Don't forget that when you become Jedi, you get a second character unlocked. You could make that one your BH / Carbineer /Marksman ... and hey, even check the terminal so see if YOUR Jedi is on them !!!
