I'm new to the FS ways and want to know when at what phase does this tree unlock?

What he meant to say was, "Phase 3." You'll want to collect 200 of the Sith Resources to complete the quest when it shows up, so tell your friends to keep those things. (Rudic Ore, Wind Crystals, etc.)

what the second poster did was give the originator a fishing pole. All you gave him Rodian was a fish. both are helpful, but original was helpful in the long run.

Well actually, I got credit for doing 4 holos before the patch, so I got to unlock what ever 2 trees I wanted. So now I have Experimentation 4 and Asembly 4. If what I was told was true, I am now a 14 point CM and Doctor crafter.

No No No! Experimentation does NOT give you extra experimentation points, it simply improves your roll on experimentation attempts. Read the FAQ/Guide in my sig for full explanations of each FS skill.
