oops...here it is...

I knew nothing about the village until yesterday when i got the visit unexpectedly. I jumped on the forums and thought, ok ill go. I grouped with a small group and wewent for it. The problem is that the large group(s) would start attacking our targets and TAKE the credit..after two full sith attacks we had between the 3 of us 7 kills..lol. We spoke up and asked others not to jump in to a 1/2 down target that is attackingoneof us and just take it due to numbers, but no one cared one bit. Is there a greed jedi tree, cause those a-holes should have completed it today.

Is this the way it always is?

I've read in a couple of places on this forum that the first few days are the worst for doing quests. As far as your group, most here recommend an eight membergroup of high CL (preferably 80). The 80's usually do the most damage and can get kills pretty quickly. Put eight of them in a group all attacking in unison and you have a group that will most likely get the highest number of kills. I'm going to wait until next week to start the phase 4 melee quest. Good luck to you. By the way, those other players aren't a**holes, they're just trying to finish their quest; as you yourself are doing.

They were not stealing your kills since clearly the Sith Shadows go for everyone during the quest, and they are trying to finish their quest just like you are. Also I would recommend being in a higher level group to complete this mission... but level 80 and a full group of 8 is not necessary in all cases. My group only had one level 80 (me), the other 5 were level 60-70. Healers are what are crucial to the completion.

I might be speaking out of ignorance, but I thought you only had to get one hit in and then regardless of who makes the kill , everyone who had a hit gets credit.

In that case and in your situation, I would follow those higher guys around and let them do the killing, just do your hit and back off.

Doesn't it work that way anymore?

It is much easier if you find a full group. I would suggest you do that.

That's how it was Pre-Cu, you now get credit if you get one hit and you or your group do the most damage. Trust me, I've tried. I showed up a a little late and decided to jump in and naturally the group at the gate was killing them faster then I was, and I got no credit.

Ok...Most people there have already completed it and are there for the exp. I got 800k in 90 minutes (not good enough). But most of them are afk and are doing a macro. The village is 10 meters away from there so its easy to transfer. Some people live there all phase literally.just got to get into a good group which most of them are. My group was all level 80s and I got all the kills within the first 20 minuts of the spawning and that was without the macro on my first attempt. the macro is nice but will cut your exp in half.

Bingo, only way I got into a group was one of the people in it was a friend of mine and he gave me his spot since he had already finished the quest.

as decribed in this thread - it is the not only 1 hit that counts. with bols it will work, since usually only one group attacks them

read the stickies - it says how to guarantee a confirmed kill with these sith. stay close, concentrate on one or two and ur fine. atl-tabbing doesn't guarantee maximum kills.

and grouping is (almost) NEVER a problem. i knew no one in village yesterday - i grouped in less than a minute for 1st wave, killed all but 8 sith in one attack phase (aargh). so i grouped again and the second attack wave was more for xp after quest fullfilled

phase 3 escort mission though, now that one really can be a bugger depending on who you group with, if you find someone. but that is an entirely differnt matter.

good luck mate.

You don't have to believe that. I am not the Twi'lek you are looking for. Move along.

maybe you shouldve thought about using your senses (there is a senses tree, think about it) and if you arent getting kills, get more ppl

they want to get it done in that phase and not have to wait another hour for resapwn, thats not an Ahole thats just efficient

Try using pass through targetting to maximise your damage output. Basically nominate one member of your group to target the Sith and then everyone else in the group targets that person. That way you are concentrating fire on a single target rather than multiple targets.
