I went to the village yesterday for a little phase 4 action (which i got screwed out of due to a crappy group) . when some guy asked me

"where do you get those backpacks?" (im not joking)

he didnt know how much they hold or where to get em or anything. and he was LVL 80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didnt even want to know how long he has played.

ive logged about 1.5 years so far and that floored me.

anyone else notice noobs like this in the village?

Ermm its always been to easy to get glowy especially since the CU.

It was only those 'mysterious' 2-3 days after the village began that were any fun with everyone wondering what was required. Now we all know.

I could start a toon now on any server and be talking to Paemos within 2 weeks.

well think bout it in the movies there are jedi padawans (wich are far more advanced then a mere fs right, that are what 8ish 9ish lol they get killed by anikin but there still padawan lol i been on here since the begining before only the people with time on there hands could make jedi when there was aholo grind, now it seems like nobodys ever happy

the sabers were supposed to be so uber then got nerfed, well ok thats a fair thing since they go thru most older armors pre cu, as far as i kno since it was considered saber damage then kinetic now energy or something, for every solution there are 2 more problems lol yeah i read it out a book but it hollds tru for this lol, i work alotta hours & it woulda taken me forever before to get as far as i did (hologrind was a bezattch) now i think it takes a lil long but then it took long there too sure beginers become jedi but bh kill em off, they will tire of it, bh get easy kills anyway most the time since jedi are easy prey & fast cash/xp as long as they log in you catch them

besides that guy mighta worked his butt off to get at the grind point where hes at or he might have this thing called a job, you kno not working for swg credits? so he might just hadnt had any idea on the packs so what i never checked ouyt be cloths i just used comp armor for most my playin that dont make me a noob lol

kiss army private

well, yes and no. 2 weeks since you know what to expect and how to, etc. for a first timer that wants to enjoy *just a little bit* it will take longer.
and do you really want to blame the community? many badges required might be for unexperienced players or low-CL player impossible without the help of guildies/friends. so without help it might take longer, but that is not what a mmorpg is about, right?

You don't have to believe that. I am not the Twi'lek you are looking for. Move along.

I also have been playing for close to 2 years. Just unlocked like a month ago. I wanted to take my time, learn everything I could about the game and study up on jedi alot before even trying. Took me a year to unlock because I took it at a slower pace. I didn't power grind it.

I have ALOT of new people ask me "How do I get jedi" constantly. Most of which are under level 20!! Then when I tell them they need to learn the game and level up cause they wont survive they get all huffy like I should stop what Im doing and come and do it for them.

Some have listened and take my advice but, that is a surprizing few.

As Yoda put it, "The boy has no patience....he will not be trained." I may just start using that....lol

Thanks to the mad XP and /respec we have many noobs. The first time I worked up to my first elite profession it took me a month (course that was before buffs and composite, not to mention I was a wookie and didn't have armor)

Nowadays you can be a level 1 noob, to to MO & Pick up a Jedi spin group and level all the way to 80 in about 12 hours of playtime.

I'm not sure I agree. I mean, it sound's like he was talking about true new players to the game. Can you imagine what life will be like in three/four months, after those Jedi make it past FS? They'll be standing around, playing with their new toys (sabers) and get absolutly killed by BH. Then they'll be crying and whining.

Oh wait. I'm a BH. No, come to think of it, I like that!

ok my deal is the fact that i knew about packs after less than a week of playing. when i started i had no idea how to be a jedi ( i got a holo from the ruins on dant which was worthless) so i guess it was between holo grind and village. i along with a lot of other people knew the ins and outs of the game before going glowy. it just irks me that all these new people who dont know a whole lot about the game already are glowy.
