Finished it in one grouping of Sith.

This is why people complain about too many jedi, finished in 20 minutes....

Hehe I agree, I remember on the patch notes a while back they said they were increasing the number of pirate...I nearly fell out of my chair as I died laughing. I mean of all the things they could fix at the village they do that. Make the easiest quest, where the sith come to you, no patrols, no 3 day camps, no damn commander to walk back, just hoards of sith coming to meet their death, easier byincreasing the number of pirates.

I mean last Phase 4 it took me 2 and a half waves to get the pirates because my group had to spend time rezzing people. Also more groups were there killing pirates and outlaws because it took more than one wave to complete so people had to stay in the village for a little while. I mean I don't care if they make it easier, it's deserved if you went through Phase 3 but come on, this quest was the last thing that needed work at the village.

people complain about everything.

you are complaining it is too easy. the people before you complained that the sith pirates weren't spawning enough.

there are tons of people who complain getting jedi is too easy and an equal number of people who actually have to work or that have families that say it takes too long. most of the people complaining about the number of jedi are people who are already a jedi (that makes a lot of sense).

My complaint is that having a branch unlocked in 20 minutes is way too easy, it should require some good tactics and skill to accomplish. Not saying that the phase 3 melee accuracy quest was great, it had many, many bugs in it, but that is the kind of quests that should be used to open branches. There should be some risk for your greatreward.

i'm not going to argue that this quest wasn't easy. however, let's look at it this way- if this quest took you 2 hours or 2 days longer than it currently is, would that slowyou or anyone else on their path to unlocking their jedi?

you'll never get all the players to agree on what is the best method for unlocking jedi, and the ones that really want to be a jedi will continue that pursuit no matter how long SOE chooses to make it.

I think we are actually agreeing, sort of...

Unfortunately I don't have the answer either, there have been quite a few listed by others, some good some bad. I agree that people will be jedi no matter how difficult or long it is to become one. Maybe though by making it difficult as opposed to long would make it a bit more intersting,

I like some of the ideas I have read about making other alpha classes. To be honest the only real reason I want to be a jedi is they seem to have better abilities than my charachter. I have pvp'd with some full template jedi's and they have been impossible for me to go toe-to-toe with using my full template charachter. Why would I not want to enhance my skills to be able to fight better. By giving us some other "uber" classes it might open up a lot more intersting game play.

Actually I have not unlocked my jedi, it will take me many, many, months, as I do work and have a family, to grind out the 5.1 mil xp or whatever ( I play 3 or 4 nights a week). Also, I do not play the game to just sit around and kill bols & pikett's all day, just to run to the village and drop off my xp, there are much more interesting things in the game to do.

I do think opening up a Jedi should be difficult as opposed to time consuming. (No offense to kids) but any kid out of school can sit around all day and grind, grind, grind to open up their Jedi in pretty short order, are they any good at the game? maybe, maybe not, killing cl 82 bols/piketts whatever all day does not equate to having any kind of skill.

I agree with Omaplata, actually. (I'm in his guild, so I guess I have to )

It took him one wave. It took our BH two waves, it took me a wave and a half, being a MR/MR, and it took our Smuggler who is switching from Commando to Creature Handling four and a half waves. It all boiled down to damage dealing. Those who could shoot fast, high damage, shots, got their kills quicker. With my slow bowcaster, it took me longer.

This was a pea shoot.

We talked about it, and perhaps they could spread the spawns out all around the village, or something. I could see how once upon a time it would have been harder. If there weren't 50 FS'ers all trying to shoot the Sith, then they'd have had a chance to enter the village and so forth, but the hardest thing now is too many people trying to shoot too few spawns. I dunno, I guess we'll never all agree about too hard too easy.
