I completed the quest, but the unlock did not get processed. So Paemos excludes melee defense from his laundry list of things I'm ready to learn, and Noldan of course tells me that there is nothing he can teach me, because even though I've got the XP sitting there waiting to be spent on boxes, the line is not unlocked.
And the CSRs apparently will do NOTHING about this.

They CAN do it manually, they just don't want to. They've done it in the past. Phase IV has been bugged since the Village was introduced, and they've even had a CSR send system messages asking players to come to the village to get manually unlocked.
I FINALLY got a live CSR to talk to me about this, and he reported that the SWG logs he had access to show that I had not completed the quest. My quest journal, and Captain Sarguillo, says I have. Another player in my group was able to unlock the melee defense branch last night without a problem. The CSR looked at me in the live game, apparently, and gathered information on the situation.
I made it VERY clear that waiting for the devs to come up with some solution sometime in the future is NOT an acceptable answer.
They need to dust off the old workaround and get this stupid thing fixed for once and for all. It is yet another indicator of the lack of professional pride and commitment atSWGthat these sorts of issues are allowed to fester for months.

I completed the melee defense unlock quest tonight (the journal says it's done! Captain Sarguillo thanked me and told me to visit the fleshpots of Kaadara and get some R&R!) but Paemos says I'm not ready, and Noldan can't train me.
Submitted a CSR ticket and got back a pathetic canned response about it being "a known issue". BS. I want this resolved manually. I know they can do it, they've done it in the past.
This is my final unlock. I've got the FSXP sitting there to train all four boxes, and I'm psyched to face the one-armed man and go kill some falmupasets in the name of the Jedi Order.

yeah same thing happened to me and its realy pissing me off. i am on farstar sent in a ticket
and nothing back.
if there going to fix it will they just tell us, because the whole thing is becoming a joke
and after Grinding the whole tree and not getting it to unlock it is really out of order,
i am paying for this service, and any other business would be shut down long ago.
