Thread: How does having a Jedi char work?

Ok I am currently FS about to try and complete my 3rd phase of the village (Phase 2 on Bria), but I want to know how having a jedi works. I see lots of people that jedi, but dont use sabers, they are often smugglers and still use blasters. So i'm guessing that you get to keep your Combat Professions when you jedi?? How does this work? I originally thought you lost your entire character once you Jedi'd and you start over as a Jedi. ...yet i see Jedi using blasters and what not, so can someone explain this??
(Off topic but...) Are there any dark jedi robes? Either there are NO dark jedi on Bria, or they just dont wear black dark jedi robes. Do they exist? Because the white light side robes look awesome, but haven't seen any black versions of them. I have seen quite a few Imperial (dark side) jedi that use purple or green sabers with white robes. Honestly...who does that? I personally think if you are going to be imperial THEN BE A DARK JEDI! You can't use light side sabers!

Once you have completed all of your village tasks and the Padawan trials, a new set of skills is opened up to you (the 5 Jedi disciplines). You don't get a "clean slate." You simply begin the grind anew, training in Jedi boxes (requiringJedi xp, which is gained via the use of a light saber or force powres)rather than the proffesion set you normally see. Think of it as changing professions, gaining the xp for the new skill, then dropping an old skill to free up the skill points.

Ok that makes sense. So I guess the people I see using blasters aren't that strong of Jedi if they haven't fully converted over yet. Thanks

and another thing, there r dark jedi knight robes. you dont see them right now because there is no FRS in place atm.

how do u know that bria is at phase 2 when it hasnt loaded yet? just curious....Go Gorath! lol

Because it was in Phase 1 yesterday, and people said it would change to phase 2 real soon. So I dont know for SURE, but its changing...
And what is "there is no FRS at the moment"???

Why is there no FRS then? What, is everyone just "jedi" no light or dark side or guardian, sentinal, etc??? Why is/was this removed?

Also, quite alot peoples decide to go jedi, but not for the new skills but for the extra charecter slot

It has been disabled since the combat upgrade- we have no ETA when it will be turned on, and they have said they want to rework it a little bit.
HOWEVER, rumors amiss that they submitted a new idea for the FRS to lucas, when they get the OK they will start programming it in, and we should start hearing about it.
