Anyone know if the experimentation and assembly lines help in crafting sabers?

I noticed I actually got some Amazing succeses while expermenting on my saber. I've got FS Expermentation and low Lightsaber Expermentation. Unfortently expermenting on sabers has little effect on them now. (500!)
