I've gotten several different answers to this, and will probably receive the same here, but here goes...
Which would make more sense... grinding master defender first, or master sabers? I've heard sabers, because you can gain XP much more quickly. I've also heard defender, because you need the defense.

Gradual progression through both parts without neglecting healing. Pick the boxes as you think you need them.

Sage advice, not going to argue with you there, but if a person was set on doing one or the other first, which would be the best choice?

I think I got this message when meditating at a Force Shrine.
I'd go for double-bladedII for the area attack(I think) that way you can hit everything but not draw aggro from having a weaker attack.
Just make sure you have a tanker in the group to draw aggro. Then work on the healing branch. From there it depaends want template you want.
Hope that helps

Well from a personal note if you wanted to do one whole tree first I would choose defence I live by the saying the best offence is a good defence.

I say get some healing, get your favorite branch in sabers, and then at least get some melee def, and xx4x for aura. Then go how you choose
