I have read all the threads, and talked to people in game. Specifically, this very talkative solo group I was in last night on Dant. A buddy of mine is working on FS xp now .. with Master Swordsman and Doctor. I don't mean this to become another "this is my template" or "my way is right. no mine is" thread. There are plenty of those on here. I simply want a people's opinion on the open ended question(s):
Which do you consider more of your time's worth? Either, the way a LOT of people are going with TKM Commando grenades and 500k FS xp per buff (read it in a post), or maxing two elite proffesions skills such as TKM (what I have now, and what everyone seems to stick with 'whatever else' to grind FS) and Rifleman (what I am thinking about)? Or BH and Pistoleer? Or Doctor and Entertainer? heh heh right. What do you consider, the ease of the grenade meathod, or the fun (hmmm) of grinding your two favorite skills? The main idea here being, get as much xp as you can and go to the village as few amount of times as you need to.
So as I see it the difference is either, max out on FS xp quickly and expensivly, or grind for force xp for x amount of hours a day, x days a week, every phase. Now my friend is maxing out one combat prof xp and then the combat xp and going to the village. "It sucks" he says. Obviously. So he has to grind for x amount of buffs, cause he get's so much xp per buff, then after the 900k (?) xp he can go to the village and convert. So basically he has to put in time every day to make Jedi at the end of all the phases as he unlocks them. So I thought, hell, you have to max your skill points and get two profs to get as much xp as you can before you go to the village. Oh, and I have heard someone say that the mastered marksmen and that gives them three more profs where they get about 500k xp maxed out apiece. The math doesn't seem to work though, and someone else said that it is BS.
I know this must seem trival to some, and others are reading and asking themself what is this guy talking about? What is FS? Anyway, discuss amoungst yourselves.

I've been doing TKM/Commando, and making much more progress, but I just decided to change my template to probably 0400 TKA / Master Rifleman / 4000 Commando ... I found sniping the Sith to be more my style, so I'm picking up something it will work with, instead of having to just bleed one then beat him up. Really, that way I can grind OR have fun ... or both!

Having 4-0-0-0 Commando using Imp det/Thermals (and taking missions in a large solo group) is way much faster FS XP than having 2 elite professions. I have currently Master rifles, 4000 Commando and moving up TKA (will probably get 0340) and 0040 Medic. This is a decent build even when not FS grinding.
TK is a great profession to have as a support profession for Rifles

It all depends on you. I am MTK/Master Swords and I max both profs on one buff. While it takes longer than throwing nades, I can still easily fill a tree within the three week time frame and still have fun taking on NS and other high end mobs. Plus I dont have to spend Millions of Credits on nades
Good Luck

im master swordsmen 4/0/0/0 commando and 2/0/0/0 medic plus melee speed from FS and i enjoy this alot. i might not have the best defenses for swords but i can still go and kill just baout anything i want. it also only takes about an hour at most to cap swords if im feeling poor and dont want to buy nades. ive personally found myself doing 1 buff all swords then 1 buff all nades and so on back and forth. it saves me money and it changes it up and makes the grind seem easier.
