I just made it to the village, and I am trying to figure all this out. Thanks to all the posters on this forum as their is a lot of good information here and I am trying to pick up as much info as i can. I have a couple of noobFS village questions if you don't mind:

Ok, i transferred all the exp i had (2 elites capped with combat capped), this qualified me for Combat Prowess novice which i was able to train in. I also had 133k of 175k for meleespeed1. I did some hunting and came back with enough exp but I am not able to train yet.

Do I have to do the mission I got from the Capt. to get trained? ( I have read a few posts on this quest and it sounds very challenging)

What npc's drop the remotes for the shields? I have seen the post with the base wp's, once i have some remotes, i go look for the base that corresponds to the remote I have?

Yes, with each phase comes a new quest in order to "unlock" your branches. You can get xp all day, but until you do the quest to unlock the branch, you cannot train it.

The NPC's that drop the items for the quests are usually in groups around the bases. You can tell what base you are at by the little droids that run around everywhere at each base.

Deac/Deac' of -RFR-

In Combat Prowess there are four branches. Each quest unlocks ONE of the four branches. You can only train boxes in the branch or branches you have already unlocked (via quests). Since you can only do one quest per Phase, you can only unlock one branch per phase.

For example, if this phase you do manage to complete Sarguillo's Melee Accuracy Quest ("Capture the Commander") then that will unlock the four boxes in the Melee Accuracy branch. Those are the only boxes you can train in until next phase, when some other quest will unlock another branch.

Edited to add the following: This doesnt mean you can't grind and save up FS XP. You can. If you happen to fill the four boxes before the next phase, keep grinding and converting to FS XP. You can save it up, and then when you unlock the next branch, you can immediately train as many boxes as possible.

Another warning, in case you hadn't picked up on it yet: When you talk to Paemos and he asks you what you want to do (first question), if you select "Convert xp to Reflexes" (not the exact wording) then you can only use the resulting FS XP in the Reflexes Tree, NOT in the Combat Prowess tree. Likewise, if you tell him you want to convert to COMBAT XP, you cannot use that FS XP in the Reflexes tree. I mention this because a couple of people didnt understand this and ended up grinding lots of xp and then converting it to the wrong type.

thanks for your help. I understand now. In this phase I can learn the meleeaccuracy tree.

Is there a listing of each phase, its missions, and what trees are available to unlock?
