vehicular control is my next unlock, and pretty much the one ive been most excited about since both of the speeds have let me down horribly...does it actually work or is it jus another wasted 4 SP

I have heardfrom several existing Jedithat it does in fact provide some noticable difference in speed and handling. I intend on vehicles as my final unlock, so I look forward to confirming that information.

I am about to fill the 4th box in Vehic contrl, it does seem to turn really tight angles now, and maybe accelarate a bit faster but its not a amazing difference...

All the knights I know of tell me that it is worthless as far as the skill goes. But that nice health crystal you get at the end is very much worth it. I know a full template knight that is getting ready to change his FS template just to get this.

Does vehicular control work on your fighters in space?

No ..it has absolutely no effect in space. The DEVs will never allow Jedi influence of any kind in space since its twitch-based and on an even field of play for all.

I have it and I will say that it does work. Try it out on the racing tracks against other players using the same vehicles. Computer speed might make up a small difference but not that much.

I never understood the refusal to let vehicular control affect space.

Lets face it... everyone and their mother is FS, and could (probably WOULD) devote the points to it if it did. When you consider how many of the FS skills are discarded outright as "Useless", this is the kind of change they SHOULD make.

Besides, Luke was flying an X-wing, not driving a Landspeeder, when Obi Wan says "Use the Force, Luke"... arguablly one of the series most famous quotes.

It absolutely does.....

Your speeder starts moving at a faster speed and it turns alot quicker. I didn't really notice this at all until I started playing on a different server again, and I can tell you it just seems to be more sluggish jumping into a swoop on the other server.

No, it does not make the speeder move faster than a normal speeder

In a race, in theory someone with it will always beat someone without it because you accelerate faster.

If anyone has it and diesn't think it works, go to a different server or use a character on your current one that doesn't have it and hop in the same speeder type, you will notice the difference. Is it game breaking, no.... is it cool to have, not really

The improved acceleration and turning is nice, and it does have a marginal effect on the topend speed, but that can easily be maske by differences in computer and internet speeds.

I find the difference is most noticable on Dathomir, with the large ravines and high density of obstacles to avoid, start and stop with. On a planet like Tattooine, it's not so noticeable.

its good to hear that this unlock wont be like the survival one...even though that did give me a nice +5 terrain negotiation

every jedi needs terrain negotiation
