Yes, the novice boxes you can train. Its the actual skill tree's that you cannot train until you do the quest.If you ask Paemos What skills am I able to learn, he will tell you which ones you have unlocked for training.

Dont quote me on this but I think you can unlock the Novice branch as long as you have 50K FSXP in that branch.

Let me clairify:

If you have 100K FSXP banked you can unlock the Combat Prowess and Enhanced Reflexes NOVICE boxes. Because those require xp in one or more of the following: weapon, combat, squad leader, bounty hunter.

If you have 50K FSXP banked you can unlock NOVICE Heightened Senses.They require xp from on or more of the following: Creature Handler, Dancing, Entertainment Healing, Imiage Design, Medical, Merchant, Music, Scout, Slice, Survey, Survival, Trapping.

If you have 50K FSXP banked you can unlock NOVICE Crafting Mastery. They require xp from any of the crafting skills.

I think as long as you have some sort of crafting xp to convert to crafting FSXP you can unlock the Novice Box

Right for the most part, however on the 100k FSXP for Combat Prowess or Reflexes, it would have to be EITHER Combat Prowess XP or Enhanced Reflexes XP. While they do use the same initial xp's to convert, they are seperate FS xp's. Don't make the mistake of Banking 1.2 mill FS Xp for Combat Prowess when you want to train up Survival because you won't be able to to because it uses Enhanced Reflexes xp.

So when I go to convert my xp I have to clarify to Paemos if I want to put the FSXP in prowess or senses? I know they both use the same Regular xp to convert but it doesn't all go to justgeneral FS XP? BTW: unless you havent figured it out I am not FS yet but I am very very close. Only have to do the warren. I am trying to learn as much as possible before I go to the villiage and I post things that I know if I can.
