Thread: Help with Whip phase 1 quest

Okay, I am having a few problems. I got into village and am trying to do Whip's phase 1 quest. The person I was supposed to rescue was kind of stuck in a tree, and I couldn't talk to them. So I destroyed the waypoint and went back to talk to Whip, but all he says is to tell me to go out and rescue the villagers, withotu giving me another waypoint.
The quest is still in my journal.
What can I do?

Try getting incapped. That should cause you to fail the quest.

Place a camp near the tree. The tree will vanish and you can then talk to the NPC. Works like a charm.

How close are the camps supposed to be to the WP? I tried it last night but couldn't find a camp within 1k of the WP. The WP was on the very edge if the mist though. Is it bugged?
How do i reset this quest? Will incapping work?

Your data pad could be full and you cant recieve the new WP for the next villager.

Thanks Tork didn't think of that
Will spring clean my datapad and try again. Will i need to incapp first as i have already had the message about location being somewhere close?

If you have tried deleting the waypoint and talking to Whip again, then incapping is all I can think of to help and it certainly won't harm.

You can reset the quest by logging out and then i again... then you will have failed he will give you a new WP to go to

Yes the same thing happened to me. I just logged out then in and I failed the mission.
