I'm probably not reading the faq's right, if so I apologise. I am a combat prowess novice and trained tonight 175k of FS xp. I assumed that as it is phase three, i would be able to unlock melee accuracy, but when i go to either trainer they say I am unable to train a skill, despite when converting xp with paemos the ui message stated i am able to learn the skill. Anyone got any ideas? Thnaks in advance.

The phases have nothing to do with what you can train in. The phases determine the quests that are availableto unlock specific branches. Before you can train in a branch you need to do the quest to unlock the branch. To train in Melee Accuracy you need to complete the phase 3 quest that unlocks the branch. The UI is kind of confusing because it uses the standard skill trees. The differeance is that you can see the skill trees but you can't train in them until you unlock the branch (column) in the tree via a quest.
FYI JTL also uses quest unlocking but it locks tiers (rows) instead of columns. To advance in JTL you must level each skill across the tree tierand youunlock the next tier (row). In beta, I made the suggestion to add a little "lock" graphic to the skill box to indicate if it was locked or unlocked. It was never implemented.I feel unlocking leads to a whole lot of confusion because JTL and the village quests use two different unlocking schemes (row vs. column) on the same tree that requires no unlocking for standard skills.
