Thread: Question about the 24 Boxes...
Can I train in more trees after I unlocked? I use combat now to get my 6 trees, but once I accomplished that I'd really love to get the luck and force assembly tree. Can I still trade xp for the other trees then, and surrender ranged acc/speed later?
BUT someone ingame just told me I can't unlearn other force trees. :-/
Dunno whats correct now.
Oh, and luck gives you better chance of loot and more money per kill.

Here's my opinion and NOT from experience:
In one of SSSnuggle's guides is a link to a thread where the poster did in fact train up a 7th branch and successfully drop a less desireable one. Now, i'm sure this poster had no reason to pull anyone's leg, but...you never know. And since none of the FS stuff is written in stone, who's to say the devs don't change this at some point and you cannot drop the skills. Now you're stuck with 7 branches and have lost 4 skill points forever. They did this during the hologrind, changing it from 5 to 8 profs, after a few months.
I suspect the additional grind and the uncertainty around picking up additional FS skills and dropping others keeps most people from trying it. Hence, we have little concrete examples.
As for Luck...it is such a hard thing to quantify, I don't know how anyone could say with certainty it actually helped. Many people swear it does, but I also suspect people going the FS route are grinding a LOT more than other profs and simply increase their success rate in good loot because they have increased theoverall amount of loot they get. Just a thought.
And I pray I can untrain some skill then

If the question has been asked a million times already it should be covered in the FAQ don't ya think so?
The problem is not in gathering the information but rather the different answers I get. I asked quite some people ingame and none couldn't answer my question.
One (a jedi) sweared that he couldn't get another force branch, and he claimed he tried it because he still wants his force assembly branch. He is a friend of mine and so I might be inclined to trust him more than some random guy on the forum.
My friend told me Peamos didn't give him the option to convert xp anymore so if you can: How and did you try that on your own.
One thing I can say for sure is that after I completed the luck tree ALL npcs drop credits now. This was not the case before I did the tree. The credits have increased a great deal percentage wise but the quantites are paltry so it's no realbig differeance. For example instead of 50 credits I might get 100, a 100% increase but still small compared to the mission payouts.
As far as the oringinal post is concerned, right now, the prequisite for Jedi is 6 Full branches. You can learn a 7th and drop one. If you're planning to do other branches, you better do them BEFORE you make Padawan. Jedi xp does no convert to fs xp. Jedi boxes cost more then conventional skill boxes. Jedi death causes jedi xp loss (capped atminus 1million!!!) so you really don't want to do unneccessary combat. This is a sure fire way to get into a hole real fast.
As you develop your Jedi, you're going to have to transition your template and drop high level skills that makes it possible to grind a lot of fs xp relatively quickly. A jedi in training is going to be a real "tweener" character and managing your skill points is critical to success.

Jeah I definitly will do all the branches I want before padawan. I am just doing the combat ones to get it done, then I take my time for luck and one crafting tree. THEN I start on the large grind, eg. Jedi.
