Force Sensitive Archive

Ok so I just defeated the two sith shadows that attack after I speak with the Old Man the first time. And I looted the waypoint data disk right, but the problem is.. when I attempt to "use" the data disk, it says "You must first loot or extract this item before using it", even though it's in my inventory. So what should I do, I already tried logging in and out. Should I destroy the wp disk and force crystal and start over or what..?
