Wait for the next cycle, or take up Artisan and get crafting

Basicly the Phases last 3 weeks of server uptime. Phase IV just started a few days ago depending on your server.
I would suggest you read the guide that is stickied at the top of this forum in the meantime so that you don't make the same mistake when the next Phase comes in.

At least you don't really need to be a crafter to do this quest. Do it and get the sculpture piece at least. And it unlocks repair, which could be usefull.

That really didn't need a bump. It was only about five posts down the page!
Yes you would need crafting xp to actually learn the skills. Now that you've accepted the quest you might as well complete it. It's not difficult (unless your satellite spawns under somebody's house) and you at least get a nice sculpture piece as a reward.

i dont kow about doing the quest. unless you want to commit to all the FS xp in grinding crafter xp, i wouldn't do it. As of now, it is still not known whether you can drop a branch yet, there are those that say yes, and those that say no. i think your best bet is to suck it up. wait until phase 1 starts again.
