Okay so I'm a CL 80 and got glowy. I know that when you get glowy you are set on a timer for the old man to arrive. What I'm wondering is if you aren't logged on when the timer "goes off" and the old man is scheduled to visit you, does it reset the timer and make you wait the time over again? If you are going to say "0mG!!!1 d00d use t3h 5earch3s nub!1!!13456" then just don't reply. Iused search and couldn't find an answer.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah well all these things say tricks on getting the old man to come to you fast. Stuff like log in and out repeatedly, wait 3 days and he'll come to you instantly, shuttle around to different NPC cities, type 12345678 as fast as you can (okay meybe not that ridiculous.) I'm actually thinking about just disregarding all of those and setting up a camp in the middle of nowhere and just waiting....I just really don't want to miss this guy. Are any of those "get rich quick"-ish plots for getting the old man really work? Because if not I'll just be patient and wait it out.

This is another one of them "trickss" that I heard and didnt really think much of it until I did it. Make a macro that check your force every 5 seconds or so have it repeat. Sure you will get spammed with messages, but I did it and thought it was worth a try, the old came literally 5 minutes after I started it on one of the most busiest non NPC place there was I couldnt beilive it. Right smack in the middle of a mall.... yes he actually came inside a building was my old man. Everyone was congragulating me and high fiving him etc. Anyway its worth a shot for you, not guarenteeing it will work but it did for me worth a shot.

Well I might as well try it
I got all the time in the world. Even if it doesn't work, thanks for trying to help.
Anyone else have any notes on these "get the old man now" plots?

Does not really matter, I got the old man visit, killed the 2 sith, and keep getting message to investigate waypoint, I have investigated it at least 6 times, it get checked off my to do list, but as soon as I shuttle anywhere, it is reactivated on my to do list and waypoint is in datapad. Every time I shuttle it adds another waypoint to my datapad. I have had as many as 7 of these waypoints. I think they disabled to stop people from becoming force sensitive. There are too many jedi in their, SOE, minds. I just want to be force sensitive to dump XP and get a little something for it. This is my 3 toon to unlock and only have a couple of force sensitive boxes to show for it. I believe most players do this, most are not grinding for jedi, that I have seen.
Don't worry about it, SOE just stopped the flow of jedi. The problem will probably only last several months to a year or two.
