Thread: Mellichae and Phase 3 cannot be passed...on purpose?

I have this weird feeling that the Jedi path is currently frozen, and on purpose.

What weird feeling?

Mellichae is bugged at the moment, and one-hit kills everyone who gets in range...that and the crystals are bugged.

Phase 3 has Sith Thugs that are Level 121....41 levels above any character could be. Even in the new max group of 8, they can't be beat.

So, no new Padawans until the devs remove this lock.

Is it possibly a forced gate because of the Master Bounty Hunter respec option? New Padawans would be freakin' toast with all of these around...but I have another theory.....

Jedi have a very hard getting XP at the moment...the only feasible way is to group. Are they working on a zero visibility set of grouping options? That is my guess...and they need to freeze the Jedi population to do it.

I have seen people say that they have beaten Mellichae post-CU...but I am going to need screenshots of that...because 99% of posts I have seen say he can't be beat...and my group of 14 total all got one-hit when I did it.

I defeated Mel the day after the CU went live with a group of 8.

First off, the crystals were bugged the first time we tried the mission. It was displaying 0/40k health but it would not blow up and they continued to heal the other crystals.

On the second attempt the cystals were able to be destroyed.

Mel was level 134 and as such 1-hit killed everyone. Our solution? A little luck and a little skill. We stayed together and took out the crystals one at a time. We then went around to the side of the camp where Mel was. He was CL134. A group of Tuskens spawned nearby and Mel went to fight them. Everyone in our group sent their pets after Mel. He was mobbed and the ranged players tee'd off on him. When his health was getting low, I ran in close and got in a few lunge attacks (since I was melee) and he was completed.

It can be done. It was frustrating at first but heck, he's a Dark Jedi, it should be hard. Stay the course and you'll get it. Bring pets, ranged specialists, and cross your fingers.

Yes...I was stating that they were possibly working on a zero visibility group option for Jedi...by all means, if a Jedi groups right now, they will get visibility.

Hmmm...sounds interesting. I am surprised Mel didn't clear out that wave of pets in one hit too.

It sounds like I am going to have a tough time, but I hear the devs "are aware" of the issues with Mellichae, so it sounds to me like you got very lucky indeed.

no, NPCs and creatures all seem to target the first person they agro and keep their focus on them. They may do a spin attack at times but they still keep their main focus on the original person agro. I know this because my friends have done this with me. Im a melee stacker and need to get in close. What we do is how our rifleman begin the attack by snaring first while keeping a long distance while staying in fire range. We also have a MBH to help root if need be. And while the npc or creature is far from the long ranged, I am right in their face slashing and kicking away. We have done this against enraged kimos, krytes and a few tough npcs. The only thing you have to do is keep the original attacker attacking the npc or beast while being alive and healthy...it will save everyone's life =)

What attack does the MBH use to root?

This is interesting...if I bring a group of 3 or 4 Rifleman, and some melee..all the Rifleman can range out and we can apply roots and snares, and I imagine Mel won't last very long if he can't get out on them.

Our MBH is also a pistoleer carbineer ((Forgot which he mastered before he started respecing around but yeah =p))

Anyways, the melee just need to watch the spin attacks if Mel does any, need to make sure he is either snared or rooted and make sure not to run too far away from his spawn. If they happense he may peace the whole thing and defend himself from those who attack him last ((The melee)) before walking back. Ranged people should run in circles or in a arch from his spawn, not just away.
