There have been numerous compaints about the issues with this quest. It is completely unpassable at this point due to balance issues.

It is unfair to have us stand idle while this phase ticks away.

Please give us a response regarding the problem. Thank you.

Response: All of these issues will be fixed in the SWG Combat Rebalance.

IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE. Yes, it may seem like it is, and it is impossible to kill the sith, BUT, I was helping a guildie with this last night and he was close to completing it. The commander did appear (without us killing a single sith, not from lack of trying though) and he was able to sneak in and grab the commander when the sith despawned. But then since he didn't listen to me he left the commander at the base (guy was just standing there) and when he had run all the way back to the village he went back to get the commander and the commmander killed himself (either time was up or it was cause he went too far away). Point is, it MAY be possible to complete it. We may be trying again today...

Well I don't know about post-CU but pre-CU I know there were compaints that this quest was impossible. I might have agreed with those people but luckily I found this: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Forcesensitive&message.id=44673&highlight=melee+accuracy which made the quest much easier. Has the quest somehow changed since the CU? Do the thugs hit as hard and have the same health and resists as pre-CU. I hope not cause then it would be impossible. WhatCL are the thugs, pirates and outlaws?

TruGeek I read your post and although I agree with you in sentiment, unless I'm missing something here, however if I'm not mistaken your friend needs to kll 5 thugs as a part of the mission. He can't sneek in and capture the commander and leave. If he did he would fail the mission. Word of warning that once he does kill 5 thugs and capture the commander he can't allow the commander to stop moving for any reason.

It was fairly easy PRE-CU, but post CU, the thugs are lev 120-330 now. The base turrets fire from 300 meters away (what happened to LOS?)

If anyone actually manages this, I would love to hear about it.

It was hard pre-CU but not completely impossible with the right skills helping you out. I completed it the night of the CU shut down on gorath but a lot of good it did me I have lost the unlock since the CU went live and can't get anyone to help me try to get it back or anything. I have spent a lot of time in the village and this would have been my 4 unlock but now thinking I will have to do it again next go around woot another long wait or just pick some other skill to unlock since the Capt will not talk to me now to even try to do a mission which I have already done numerous times helping friends in the past or old toons that I use to play.

Correct. You need to kill 5 thugs. The easist method was to run in and stand in the back of the base when they despawn, and pull one at a time and gang up on it. Now, you aren't going to gang up on one...very easily. If you pull an additional one on accident? Your are in the cloner even faster.

I know when I did it Pre CU we had to kill 5 to make the commander spawn, and he did after the 5th one died. Post CU this wasn't the case, and I don't know why. For us the thugs were all level 109, which hurts (just like the Enhanced Kwi in the geo cave, watch out!). We did have a level 80 in the group too. If he gives it another try today or something I'll post on what additional info I find out.
