Thread: Any plans to possibly decrease the phase shift times?

I have begun the FS grind not to long ago and the major issue on my mind is how long will this take me. Well the xp will not take me too long. The phase shifts will kill me. The phase shifts to me just seem like a way for SoE to keep my account active. I am going to have all of the force sensitive xp in no time but get to wait like 9 weeks just to become jedi. Whats up with this? Are there any plans to reduce the amount of time for each phase? Possibly to a week? I feelthat if we had a week to do the quest it would only be a positive change to help out all the negative things from the CU.

Have some patience. If waiting on phase shifts is that hard for you, and you can't seem to find anything to fill your time in-game otherwise, it would be best that you just give up your dreams of being a jedi now, and go respec to be a Bounty Hunter like 96% of everyone else did.

Don't mean to sound harsh but... well, there ya go.

If you are not patient of phase shifts then trust me, you will throw your keyboard at your monitor if you become a jedi. Develope patience or just give up the dream to become that profession =p

Does it suck? Yes. Will it be shortened? Probably not. I have all my xp banked for Ranged Defense and Vehicular Control and I have to wait for the phases to shift too. I can't even do a quest in Phase I because I've done the two combat ones and I'm not a master medic or novice artisan anymore so I can't do the other two so I have to sit around for 3 weeks and not even do a quest. I hate it, like everyone else, but it is one of the devs ways of keeping the jedi population down. Though with the BH population as it is now I'm kinda glad I'm not a jedi yet. lol.

Why are Swordsmen forced to use a Hammer?
Why are Jedi forced to use a Flashlight?

Making people wait on phases only leads to people losing interest and picking up another game.

Ithink the process should be fun andI also thinkbeing a jedi is just a small part of the game in general. But, so many people act it's the end game deal. The only true way to keep jedi population low is to let everyone be one(revamp it too). I am not for this since I like the whole speciality of jedi but needs to be less boring to become one that is for sure.

The revamp:

Jedi can only train in jedi skills

Jedi can not use high lvl range weaponary

Jedi can not be crafters

Jedi can be B. hunted if showing off in public

1Jedi can only group with same faction jedi

pretty much making the class seem dull when looking at a commando touching the room up or the rewards of high lvl crafting .. etc.

pretty much, what is happening right now anyways (except of 1)

I must warn you, I'm very good at back flips.

Yes, people do act like it's the end game, and that's no way to play. I've been FS since... at least October 04 and am still not a jedi. I've been taking my time and enjoying the game, doing all the quests I can, etc. I do not agree with letting everyone be a jedi, I don't want to see that many running around. And I do think it should take an extra amount of work and time. If you want to play a jedi there are a bunch of other SW games that do that. I say that not because I'm one of the ones that has given up on the grind (as many people I know have) but as someone who has taken it slow and enjoyed the game. Besides, the way things are in the CU now... it will be almost impossible for jedi to level. One of my freinds who is a low level jedi (level 13, lol) joined a hunting group with us yesterday to try and actually get some xp and eneded up -30k after it was all over with. BH walked up and took him out in 3 shots, and with all the BHs now... it will only get worse.

Okay...As a jedi why would i need patience to wait and do nothing? I have the patience to grind out FS xp, just as I will be doing during Jedi...

Trust me grinding FS Exp is nothing like grinding Jedi Exp. I wish the Jedi Exp was as Easy as FS Exp.

Yeah... and coincidentally, I made that percentage up as well.

Thought I had made it more obvious...
