Thread: Go on now, you've got to find... NPC stuck in tree, no waypoint.

I was off to find the 5th missing Villager. I proceeded to kill all for NPC's around the camp when I arrived after getting the waypoint from Whip. After killing all four NPC's, I look around for the missing Villager. S/he is hidden from my 'view' inside a tree!
I was able to target the villager, but could not go through the text conversation with her because 'you can not see' her...
I was not able to attack her, lure her or otherwise get her out of the tree.
Frustrated, I hopped back on my speeder and went to visit Whip again. After returning to speak with him again, he says "Go on now! You've got to find those missing villagers". I'm like, I found her but I can't continue with this 5th mission.
So I thought I'd get smart and delete the waypoint, hoping he would give me another one. I speak to him again and he says the same thing again. Now I am totally stuck. He wants me to complete this mission of finding and rescuing the 5th villager and I do not even have a waypoint to her anymore.
What can do. Help?

i believe the solution is to let yourself get incapped. then you will be able to restart.

I guess that should have been obvious to me. I tried it and it worked, thanks Twighead. I wasn't aware of this because I had not been incapped up until your suggestion. Time to rescue the last villager! Wee.

If you have at least novice scout you can set up a camp kit, after you kill the npcs, near the tree in question and the camp will often take the tree away so you may speak with the villager.

I keep a camp kit on me at all times just for this. Bigger the camp the better. But a small one often will work.

Try to /unstick or /eject he/she/it. May or may not work ... when I would escort the villagers back they would sometimes get stuck in hills/mountains and there was no way to get them out. I had to go back to the village, which made that part of the quest fail, then I'd have to rinse and repeat.
