Thread: Old man on Kashyyyk?

Just getting a bit bored waiting for the old man (too paranoid to drive around or anything) and i was wondering if he'll visit on kash? if so, what about the ryatt trail, all levels... etyyy... those kinda places? sorry if this has been asked 100 times..=(

I heared there was a bug if you get him to visit you there.. so i would recomend you to be on a regular planet

I just went through the FS initiation with an alt of mine. The best thing that I found was to log out when your done playing in a house that way you'll be safe loading in when the sith attack. Load in and go outside your house and just walk around. Stay away from NPC cities. Eventually he'll come. Then after he does it'll be at least another 24 hours before the sith attack. For me the old man visited 1 1/2 days after I became FS, about 10 minutes after i loaded in. The sith attacked about 2 days after that, about 20 minutes after I loaded in. I have heard of them attacking people as they load in though, thats why its a good idea to log out in a house. Stay away from Kash, people have said the Old man tried to visit them but spawned outside the playable area and they weren't able to get close enough to him to converse. It easiest to just stay at home a couple of days and get it done, then to have to wait even more because something got bugged, or you miss him because you're fighting.

I know when they first implemented this system that the old man would only visit you on your "birth" planet. I had never read that and was waiting for him out in the wilds of Tatooine passing the time hunting. OnceI read itI went to naboo whereI started, and almost as soon as I was out of theed's city limits he was there. So unless they changed this aspect, I don't see how he could visit you on Kashyyk =)

Nope, he would visit on any planet, no matter what, you just couldn't be in a NPC city (Dearic, Bestine, Theed, places like that). I was glowy as soon as the Village came out. My "birth" planet was Talus, but the old man came to me on Lok, in a player city about 2000m from Nym's Stronghold. The Sith came about 10 minutes later in that same player city.
Still, I wouldn't go to Kashyyyk while waiting, it may bug up bad. I'd just be patient.
