I have 24 FS skills now, but i just read something that implies that i have to have 6 full skill branches. I have 4 full branches and 4 partial branches, does this mean i have to finish some off before i can get the padawan trial? Or will i be alright with the 24 skills?

Yup, you just need to get any of your 4 partial branch filled up to the top and you'll be all set. At least you don't have to wait for any more unlocks like i do.

Yes, they are. But when you become padawan, you -must- keep atleast 6 full branches of FS trained. If you do not, you will no longer be a Jedi. =) You can always train a 7th FS branch and drop another after, if there is a branch you have that you no longer want.
