simple... the path to a jedi is to learn patience.. duh !!

but honestly, the point is to make it take along time to give the "feel" of growing in the force.. true the way they do it isnt exactly the best way but it works.

how many people do you know that just get frustrated and stop trying for jedi just because of the time table involved. everyone is not meant to be a jedi and those that think the only reason they are playing is to get one, have a serious let down coming to them when they do get it..

BHs, the horrible damage they do and all the other stuff is just scarey.. go read the jedi forums.. it will give you a shock.

do i want a jedi? absolutely! this phase will be my last unlock and ive been playing since about a week after release. you know what, i still only have 1 of 5 trees completely filled and i play several hours a day. im in no rush to get the grind out of the way so therefore, unlike you that is grind grind grind... wait wait wait.. im going at an even pace. ill probably not start my padawan trials before you, but i bet ill be a better jedi than you simply because i know the system better. anyone and everyone can go to dantooine and get bol groups that will max your xp out in less that an hour, but where is the fun in that. yes i have done it myself but i do most of my grind solo just because i know that if i want to stay off the terminals, im going to have to do it as a padawan. i know more about what my character can and cant do vs higher level mobs and its funny listening to people ask me how a CL 62 is taking on CL 75 mobs and winning.

im in no way saying i am better than you, just that i have more patience ...

so go out and experience the game.. seriously .. have you ever just gone exploring? ever visited the planets that dont have anything to do with the jedi grind? Rori for instance. they have some very good graphics in this game, some people just dont take the time to look.

and learn patience, your gonna need it when you have a BH standing outside your house for hours waiting for you to get bored and confront him.

so the phase is supposed to be changing any day now.. thats cool... why didnt it change a week ago.... it seems to me that more then have of the "tediousness" of this FS thing is just simply WAITING for the phases themselves to come.. i havent been doing crap but grinding when i am in game basically ( and redecorating my guild hall) since this last phase started.. and i already have enough force exp saved up to master the next branch.. so i am like ok i seem to be ahead of schedule now ill just go screw around for awhile and save up cash and suchwell that was a week ago.. and here i am still waiting...

my question is.. is the WAIT ITSELF part of the grind that the devs have introduced? i mean thats the only part that has gotten on my nerves... just simply WAITING...

3 weeks is a little much.. 1 week would be much more effective in my mind...

AGREED that most people wouldnt be able to get the needed force exp for the next branch.. but so what? just let me UNLOCK the stupid branches and then grind and convert at my leisure... that way i would know that if i REALLY just grinded for 6 straight weeks i would have jedi.. but if i took my time and did it as i wanted to... then after i unlock my six branches i can just go out and grind at my own pace ...

i dunno it just feels as if this is the only major problem with the system itself....

(other then the fact of the seemingly random inhabitants of the villiage.. come on why is a RODIAN converting my force exp... just why is that captain there anyways? ..... come on a trandosian training me in the force... why are those villiagers so freaked out.. why arnt they out training in the force to help protect the villiage they live in....just why does this rodian look as if he is giving me the bird each time i go to convert exp.....

there are just some RP issues that i think need to be addressed... i mean come on.. why make the choice to become a light or dark jedi wait untill ur at the knight trials? why not have 2 diffrent villages for ppl to choose to go to... a sith one and a light one... how come i am killing thousands and thousands of bols... why am i not ya know... TRAINING IN THE FORCE....

but like i said before... its whatever ill do whatever i gotta do to get that mystical glow stick... but i just dont approve of having to stick to someone elses timetable... if i wanna go faster LET ME GO FASTER if i wanna go slower LET ME GO SLOWER... whats the big deal?

"jedi population control" if the devs wanted jedi population to be in control they shouldnt of said " everyone can be a jedi" they should say.. yea you can be a jedi but i promise you that you are going to be kicking yourself in the face every step of the way untill you finally get there... and then BH's get to kick you in the face every step of the way..

i bet saying that would stop alot of people from trying... lol point is whoever says ANYTHING about jedi population control being important then quite honestly you are saying.. " most of these people on this game do not deserve to be a jedi" which honestly i think IS true... stick to the story.. not everyone is cut out to be a jedi..

but hell since thats not the case.. why make it jus tannoying in the first place? i would even be happy with a TWO week timer.. but just 3 weeks is so utterly long and pointless... at least have people there that give SIDE QUESTS that you can do in the meantime that will earn you STRAIGHT FORCE EXP... sigh anyways discuss if u like

The purpose for the "gating" and the 3 week phase time, is so people do not get Jedi in 6 weeks or whatever (1 week per phase).

I think it should be longer - and guess what? I work, own my own house and I am married. I've been since October of 2004 (when the Village first came out) and I will finally unlock during Phase 2.

I think it should longer and much harder, to be honest. I am glad the phases are not 1 week or 2 weeks, that makes me laugh.

Sorry, but it shouldn't be easy and there should be waiting, simple as that.
