Then don't cripple your main. Seriously, no-one forces you to become Jedi. And if you really want that 2nd character slot then get it and make your alt your main

Tiggs have answeared this about 3 times. Highly recommend the dev tracker page to see what the dev answears are.
But ....I'll paraphrase for them..
if you unlock jedi and the extra slot prior to the cu2 going live you keep the 2 nd slot.
All others are SOL. No second slot not even if you select jedi as your starter profession.
So if you have it you keep it....if you don't you don't get one....as it stands now.
And I think they'll keep it that way...if you give our multiple slots on the same server then everyone will be a jedi.
As it is now you'll have to choose. If you want a jedi your jedi 24x7 on that server.
This might be a way to fill populations across servers since most folks will want a jedi they'll have a jedi on one server, spy on one, bh on another and so on....
just my thoughts on why they won't give out more then one slot to everyone...
