Thread: Combat xp: devs gone crazy.

i realize this has been in affect for a few weeks (and probably been tons of posts here already) but i havn't worked on FS since pub 21 came out (new bh loot rawks!). heres my gripe: if combat xp is now 30:1 like everything else, but we still only get 1/10 as much as normal weapons xp, isn't it like 300:1 really? The obvious solution is to change grenades to their own kind of weapons xp.

Why change nades to a different one? the change to 30:1 had nothing to do with nades, they also changed medic from 10:1 to 30:1 in the same patch!
Its just a way to slow down jedi population. Probably the best way also atm as it dosnt affect any other proffs.
(no, im not jedi yet so im also suffering from the change)

Every single day someone starts up this same whine! What for? Go play the game instead of whining and you will make better progress.

make the grenades into a seperate weapons-class Xp, make them a bit more powerful at the higher levels and it gives the commando profession something to work with (much like Meditation is the tool of the TKA). And then drop the grenade xp conversion to say 15:1..make the "pineapple pitch" into what it should be:
painful to all involved.
And although i dont PvP very much...make them PvP capable. I would love to see some nades being used in such a situation..might give all them pesky jedi something to stop and think about when a master commando walks into the fracas and starts lobbing some AoE goodness.

It had everything to do with nades. The med conversion was proportionate to them raising the cap from 80K to 1.2 mil, plus med XP is earned much faster than combat XP. This was a cap for the naders...
Could they have done it differently? Sure! But they didn't, so continuing tolament this change is likelamenting the CU, useless and a waste of time. Just suck it up and move on...

I dont mind the change, just glad XP was sorted out. Capping XP is still easy enough. I support slowing down the influx of jedi into the game. And no I dont have have a jedi, But they are fun to hunt.
