Powers are ranged attacks so don't make the mistake I did, snobbing the ranged enhancing skills

Wow.. had no idea. Can anyone confirm?
I was planning on having powers be part of my template after unlock. Seeing as how im only a few boxes into the FS grind this is perfect timing to make sure I get the ranged bonuses too. Thank you!

That is why everyone should do some research and reading about the Village and the quests offered and how they help your character. I can confirm it. Why? Because before I started the village I researched the FS Skills and there is a sticky on the Jedi Forums that says the Ranged Accuracy skill applies to Force Powers. Now, I don't know where the information comes from on the stickies on the Profession forums but since that information has been there for a very long time I am going to assume it is true. Otherwise, i think they would have taken it down long ago.

Ranged Accuracyand Speedskillmods affect Powers use, yes.
Wrong .. range speed does NOTHING for Powers. Accuracy helps. Although the whoopin +12 isnt going to help much when there is food out there that gives you +200. Just dont make the mistake of looking for skill tapes like General Ranged speed as it doesnt help powers at all, and is "working as intended" based on the devs say-so.

For all of you thinking about going mpowers: don't! It's a low-dps profession that is mostly only good for group pve. Yes it can be played well, but you have to do REALLY well to be able to use it in pvp.
