I currently have a CL80 BH on Lowca but I made a new character on Starsider. I got glowy with the following badges.

5 Pois

2 Difficult Pois

Content Badges:

Foe of Gorax

4 Mos Eisley Badges

Master Artisan

Now my template is hits.

MA/B4-4-0-0/Medic4-0-4-0/NF

I am a whopping CL 16... Whats the problem? Well I have helped others with my BH fend off the Sith Attacks. There is no way in hell I will be ale to stand toe-toe against the Sith. Advice for those grinding for jedi, wait til you are atleast a CL70.... Or have lots of friends.

You really only need one frien, to make the group level 80 or so :-)

But rushing into Jedi sounds really boring. I played a year before I got Jedi and had way more fun back then.

And here I went all over the galaxy hunting up badges since i had heard at the time that was how you unlocked glowy. I should just waited a few months lol.

Then i could have had almost the complete tatooine badge collection (the hero quest is just too wonky for my tastes).

Ahh well. Now I gotta go back and do the starter quests.

This could be interesting

Yes they do. I did not have to do a single themepark.... I got glowy in 2 days. I had enough money from space to buy the resources to grind artisan. 1 whole day of grinding and the other day of POIs and quests.

Even though I have no jedi char I still try to emphasise this point to people. Make friends, have fun, hunt, explore, collect... and then... have a go at Jedi.

This happend to guildie of mine, he wanted to get the 4 badges and did so and got the visit from the old man.

The best thing to do it log out in NPC cities. The sith will not spawn in NPC cities last I heard. 24 hours after the old man comes rest assured that the sith will be waiting when you shuttle into a player city.

So log in a high traffic NPC city and ask for help and form a group prior to leaving. Then TCB and you will be fine
