just to let everyone know i unlocked a monthish ago. ( had only 3 unlocks )

and now im 0021 in LS

Now, in FS you grind up your exp and then dump it into a pot that eventually will buy you a box FS skills.

basically you see no progress really and it gets boring and long.

in jedi you slooooowly get exp but at least you see progres and when you get a box your like. damn thats cool i can now make a new saber and use better moves opposed to. ug. i got a box in SF for luck.um.. what will this do to help me lol.

so really the jedi grind is a hell of alot longer and harder and more stressfull but the rewards are very nice opposed to the mind numbing dumping of exp in fs waisting hours just traveling back and forth from the village.

oh and so yas get a accurate view of how jedi exp is.

you will get 490 - 510 exp for killing piket protectors ( safe cause they are extremely high lvl and dont death blow if you get incapped )

for novice its 20k to get. eg. novice LS. novice powers.

but.. you wont be really good at killing them untill your novice so it will be a few hours to get that first 20k.

NOW you get a decent Light saber you can craft.

for your next box you need 200k while each piket gives ya 500 exp. OH and i forgot to mention after each lair you have to wait 10 min for your force bar to recharge or you wont be able to attack.

less to say its hell but the good news is. beer is your best friend and as long as you play it safe in 2 weeks you will be decent and look cool ( decent being you can do lairs of pikets without getting owned )

U really shouldnt have to wait for ur force bar to regen.

Use a 1st gen saber and not a 2nd, it may be a bit slower and not as powerful but ur force bar hardly goes down at all when u spam leghit.

Isn't that great! More to look forward too! Wouldn't it be nice if you had something interesting to do, that you gained xp at, and had something to do with being a new jedi? I guess during the Jedi revamp they didn't think of cool new ideas. It seems like all the imagination seeped over to the other Dev team on EQ2. Good luck to you.....when people get Jedi master, they should also get a badge "Able to deal with boring content" LOL!

Thanks man! This is the kind of post many of us no-free-unlocks people need...I'm waiting on the next 2 phase shifts, hoping to unlock my initiate the week of Christmas.

Best thing to do is get novice ls then get 2 other novice boxes first that you use for your template. You gain more force bar. So get the novice boxes first after novice ls then work on getting ls 0/0/1/0 etc. I also recommend doing the 5000-5200 quenker missions in a solo group. You get your full money even in a solo group and you get 573 xp per kill.

P.S. Also if the village grind is really getting to you and you can't do it then jedi isn't for you either. Jedi get 1/5 xp on kills compared to a normal profession along with the skill boxes you need a lot more xp in then any other. it is a lot more fun grind yes but if you can't handle the village grind then you need to think about jedi more serious if you can handle it.

What an awesome post I've been dying for info like this. I'll finish the fs quests right before xmas. From there I'll get to the point that I can fire up a lightsaber. Based on how I feel when I fire up that saber I'll decide if I want to grind further.

to give everyone an idea... one of my friends just finished the padawan trials little more than a week ago and i think hes 0/0/2/2 lightsaber. so if you grind alot you can still get there quick.. but the first time you get that 3rd or 4th tier box.. it will be a loooong grind. i totally agree though. I don't have my jedi yet and I get very bored of grinding fs xp.. I've actually found myself dropping professions and picking up new ones so I can grind out a different profession for a while, and pvp with something else for a while.. not the best idea since i spend more time grinding the new profession instead of the fs xp.. but the grind is just killing me =( ive unlocked 4 trees, and im only reflexes 0/0/0/1 combat prowess 0/0/2/4 so you get the idea that i need work still. with 2 unlocks coming up soon though, it is more reassuring that there could be an ending and that is why i keep at it.
