Thread: Old man, where art thou??

Finished Monday night almost Tuesday morning with the grind, got my 24 box trained.


So Tuesday I come hope start playing, guildies all excited, as we wait for the old man. So I do the shuttle trips and no luck, run in and out of town and just wait. Still no old man. Guildies and I even go fishing for an hour and a half, hoping to lure the old man out, since everyone knows that old men love fishing. Still no visit.


So tonight hopefully, possibly, if the old man has not had a heart attack, or is on vacation, I will get my visit.

I finished Thursday night/Friday morning, and the old man showed up at about noon on Saturday.


Have patience. He'll come.

so i can just sit 2km outside of town outside my house(which is also not in a player town), pop on a few DVDs and just keep an eye on the screen and he will just showup at some point, or do i NEED to do the shuttle hopping and running towards 0,0,0.

Just hang out in the middle of nowhere away from NPC cities and away from player housing. Once you receive WP for Mel, he will spawn not too far from where the old man meets you. Talus is a good planet to be on.

well got my visit the other day, just hoped a shuttle to theed and then back to the player city I live in walked off the shuttle and within two minutes there was the old man coming to talk to me.


Now the real fun start.


Got my trust guildies together to attack Mel, So I have 6 Jedi to go help. Sounds like a walk in the park, right? Wrong!!!!


Get to the camp to find that one of the green crystals has spawned in a house


Tried just out damaging him, but the crystal heals him full before we can deal enough damage to kill him out right. We try to get him close enough to the house, sincethe crystalis still 3m in the house, can't be attack, and hoping that aoe will hit the crystal, but no such luck. So we try to lead Mel away but wait the cyrstal still heals him at almost 1k way from the camp. Things looking bleack and time to call for a CSR to help.


But while Mel is making his return from being out 1k m, remember someone mentioning the use of a pet to possibly attacking the crystal, but I don't have a pet. But wait, I do have a couple of droids. So I call my trusty little CL 18 r2 droid. And send him to attack. Just hoping for the best since at this point we are going on 10 minutes with the fight. The little droid rolls to the house and stops, damn that didn't work but wait. He disappears and then you can hear him attacking the crystal, and you can see the crystal is taking damage. Yes the droid was doing it.


So after about another 5 minutes of the droid attacking the crystal, it is finally destroyed, And we can now take out the red crystals and finally defeat Mel.


Was a fun fight think we only had one person die in the fight, but alot of all got close to dieing at one point or another, since the battle lasted almost 20 minutes.
