Thread: Is the holocron unlock system still in place?

I've hear rumors that, post patch of the removal of the holocron system, you were still able to obtain 'free unlocks' at the village when you mastered proffessions that would have been set in your holocron path.


i hope that's worded correctly, i very sleepy.


can anyone tell me if this is true?

You can no longer holo grind, but...

How many professions you grinded out, you get -2 to the free unlocks...

Professions
8 = 6 unlocks
7 = 5 unlocks
6 = 4 unlocks
5 = 3 unlocks
4 = 2 unlocks
3 = 1 unlocks
2 = 0 unlocks
1 = 0 unlocks

I'm assuming as long as you have the free unlocks banked you can. You cannot however grind professions now and get free unlocks to the trees. Read the FAQ above and choose wisely if this applies to you.

ok according to rdx1 up there , 3 mastered prof. will give 1 unlock ??? well i had (pre- patch) master doc,medic and tka .... i never got an unlock .....did i get screwed ???

I think it was 3 elite professions and not just master professions. I had the same setup MasterTKA MasterDoc MasterMedic back in 2003 and never got a free branch.

They have to be the professions that would have unlocked Jedi. If you looked at your holocron and you did X number of those professions, then you get the unlock(s). People used to grind out 30+ professions to get the right 6-8 "holocron" professions they needed to unlock,

BTW thats not entirely correct. i dnno if maybe they only count elite professions, but if masters and elites both count, i ahd 8. and not a single unlock for me.



True story im bringin the team back, even Roy Jones was forced to lean back
mastered: scout/ranger/squadleader/marksman/swordsman/brawler/fencer/tka/
current template: Master Swordsman/ Master Brawler/ Master Fencer/ 4-0-0-1 tka +12 fs melee speed. speed capped 2 hand goodness.
