Aren't I supposed to get the heightened senses quest for phase I from Alpoka? (the non-medical one, i am not a master doctor) If so, where has he gone? I can't find him! If there is another npc i'm supposed to get this quest from, who? (not silvarra, he's only for master medics) Please help!

Normally just speak with the village Elder in the middle and you can find out.
Sense questgiver for phase 1 is Servialla or what ever she is called, located at medic tent near the wall.
Remember you need to be master medic to get quest and you will need doc 0004 or abit less to finish it since you have to craft and experiment with cures.
good luck

Um, there is supposed to be a 2nd NPC for this quest - for those who are not master medics. He was there in the beta testing. Name was Alpoka. He has vanished. It is not right that only master medics can complete the persuasion tree for heightened senses.
Developers: please fix!

The devs probably changed the system a little bit between beta and live. I'm sure it's working as intended and no fix is needed.

Um, no disrespect intended Irishbear, but the devs have been known to make a mistake or two along the way--and I for one am always grateful when they get around to fixing them. Since this quest is necessary to unlock the Persuasion skills, and medic is not the only profession that produces sense xp, it is quite unfair to limit the quest to only those who are master medics. An alternate quest for those who are not medics sounds like a great way to handle it. I know that if there was a quest aimed only at my specialty (Image Designers of the galaxy, unite!) I would think it unfair to make everyone become an ID to unlock it.
Gotta agree with Nevala here. I gain FS XP through Dance and a small bit od Scout yet...I will need to surrender some (or my other chosen profession of Fencer) to go Master Medic in order to unlock. I see no differance between this and a hologrind, either way I am forced to give up a chosen profession.
IMO it should be as Phase 4, Master Medic not required but Novice....ok.
Are there any other FS quests that REQUIRE a mastered profession?

No, but some others require novice artisan. I indicate which phases require specific professions in my Quest Guide.

There is no other way to unlock Persuasian other than to take the quest that requires Master Medic. It is the same as the first time the village was in phase one when this went live. Please check out the great guide to the village quests by SSSnuggles. I believe it is stickied to the top of this forum.
And please don't shoot the messengers who have to tell you what you don't want to hear
Why should it require combat xp to fill the boxes of the survival line instead of camping/scouting xp? There are many quirks about this method to becoming jedi. Go figure.

Alpokanever gives quests. The HS quest givers are Silvarra, Eozlin, Eozlin, Silvarra for Phase 1-4 respectively. There is only one quest per tree in each phase. For more information concerning which skills are offered and who offers them check out the Quest Guide in my signature.

This is still a load of junk. A player should not be forced to take professions they do not want to unlock FS skills. I agree with the poster from over a year ago, this is NO DIFFERENT than hologrind. Please do something here Devs.

you can unlock and complete 6 branches if you have just 1 combat profession
