ok this is what I'm wondering:

After I'll finish 6 of the branches, can I go for the seventh branch as well?

I've done first 2 of the Combat Prowess and first 2 of the Rexlexes so far...(I've missed the last phase 4) so, if we're limited to 6 of those only, I'll wait for the phase2 to get the Melee Speed and after that I'll skip phase 3 and will wait to get phase 4 to get ranged speed. So it will delay me for 6 weeks.

So is the 6 branches our cap? or can we go for some more?

You can train every single branch if you like but If you're working towards Jedi I would not waste the SP.

Get your 6 branches that you think you need and save the rest of that SP for your Jedi skills, as they cost quite abit more than your average profession. Not to mention the time you would be wasting working on that 7th branch. hehe. You would have your Jedi initiate and be still working on FS.

Most FS skills are not even worth getting as they have lil or no benefit to a Jedi. Now if your just doing this to unlock your 2nd character slot and not making a jedi, some of them are really nice.
