Thread: Help with nade grinding

I just got commando 4-0-0-0 but i cannot afford the nade grinding method but i want to use it instead of the normal method, so does anyone have any advice for me.My template is tkm and commando 4-0-0-0.This is my first post,my character is slifer obelisk and is on europe-farstar.

Well, there have been many posts about this in the past and it looks like most people advise you to get into solo groups and take missions until you can get enough cash to afford you nades. I have found it profitable to find a small group (or solo which is what I do) and go after GDK's on LOK. When you loot some scales you can sell them for around 1-2 mill apiece depending on who is buying (have looted as many as 10 scales per GDK). You may have to kill several, but sooner or later you will get some scales. You can also hit Gurk nests, Gurk King hides are going for around 50-70k apiece and one king can give 3-6 hides. Those are my suggestions. Hope they help.

i've now killed well over 11 giant dune kimogila's with no giant kimogila scales looted and i've done some gurk missions with no luck.What should i do?

Can't take gurk missions and get gurk kings.. must kill gurk nests...wild spawns only. GDK's take a while but sooner or later you will hit one that will pay off big....just gotta be patient.

If you have jtl then you can sell space loot, the further up pilot the better. At just below master I was cashing in 300k or so for a full inventory plus credit chips. Then rinse and repeat.

go to DWB and solo the front few rooms for a de10 schematic barrels and Jet pack junk

this may end in his death, especially if he does not do his research. many droids, especially super battle droids, will spawn on him and rip him to shreds. also, the loot drop is very rare in these rooms. ive been there for 2 buff sessions recently with a m8 and only looted 2 executioner hack schems.
i have also been killing krayt dragon ancients with the same m8, and have currently looted a total of 10 flawless pearls. these sell on the forums for at least a few mil each depending on your server.

go to the kimo village POI during the night (not many others there) and kill the GKD, i have had as many as 21 scales dropping on one

If you want to get some money to do the grenade grind:
3 weeks ago, I had 200k.
Now, I have 5 million.
how I did it?
Well, first I became doc (realy fast to grind with macro's) and sold some buffs which made me about 1 mil in a few days. Problem was that there was too many competition on my server for buffing. Then I had a Jedi friend to take a look on some Pearl. It was a premium one and he bought it from me for 3 million. After that I went on the lazy tour. Picked up novice artisan, bought some mineral harversters and looked for some uber resource. Made me another million in a week or so.
There are alot of methods. If you go krayt hunting a few days and get some premium pearls it will get ya rich in no time.
If you are not doing the nade grind I suggest any combat profession is ok. If you still have enough time, I think capping out xp once a day will get ya enough to fill in your branch each day.

First look at my profile on left window, I registered this game 3/1 , 2005.
That means I started swg this month.
I made 2 unlocks, all fsxp so far. ( started to farm pearls, I have 1 premium 4 quality pearls now )
How to?
1) I happened to chose TKM, and I mastered marksman for fun. And I read about nade xping on forum. I followed that path.
2) Bacially I have no money at the beginning. But nice guildmate gave me 200k to support nOOb , me. ( But I think most of you guys have more than 200k. if not you are lazy )
3) I bought a few of imp detonators, and learned how to do nade xping indeed.
4) I needed money to buy more nades. At first I went to endor and missions a lot. I could make 600k for 1 buff session. but I needed more.
5) A friend that I got along in game while I was grinding in a solo group suggested me how to make good money.
6) So I had to make my own at-st ( luckily I wasalready imperial to join guild ) ; Go to Dantooine, Get full buffs . group with your at-st. Get 30k missions in improved job market. You can make 1.5 million for 1 buff session. - just destroying mokk or janta lairs - dont care about mokk/janta ( if you are TKM, you dont worry about them at all)
7) Now I could afford money for nades, I bought a lot of them. Went for grinding.
8) I spent less than 4 mil to buy all nades for whole fsxp. ( but it depends on server u play on - different prices on nades ) - Personally I prefer Thermal Detonators, less money , more xp with them

Ahh I forgot one thing.
I started this game to become a Jedi ( KOTOR2 jedi can't make me happy! )

here's a question, I tried looking for the answer but couldn't find it:
c12, c22 grenades...
which are thermal, which are imp, which are fragmentation, etc.? I was looking at what the certifications were under ctrl-s on my character, but couldn't find any descriptions that were c12 or c22 or c-anything...
