Sort of stuck at the 20 baz nitch trial, since they're cl 63-65 and I'm only cl 54. Grouped with a cl 80 so i could kill them, but they're not giving me credit, apparently. Do I have to be solo to get credit for killing baz nitches on this Trial? Currently on my way to a shrine to reset and see if that helps, but thought I'd ask in the meantime if it still doesn't give me credit whenI reset.

I took the missions then grouped with a CL 80. I got credit and the message that "you have killed a baz nitch for your trial" or whatever it says. Now I did travel back to the quest giver grouped and that bugged the mission one time.

So to recap: get missions, group up, kill 20, ungroup, go finish the quest.

Just hunt about for them without taking a mission for them.

Either way will work, but taking the missions you will complete them faster. Especially in the same direction.
