I just came back after two months of not playing, and I have heard there is a quest for getting to lvl 80. Levels are obviously new in the game. I saw in one of the posts that there is a quest or group of quests to get a character to lvl 80. Im just curious about this process. And in addition, I hope the fs grind will not be that much slower, I hope I could kill quenkers with nades before they kill me!

only skills can change your level, level 80 is just the maximum, if you're a master of two combat related professions you'll be level 80, if you're a master of 1 combat profession you'll be around 56 or something.
As for fs grinding, it's only a little slower, but it makes people hunt together instead of solo group missions and squill cave spin attacking, unless you're going up heightened senses, because the amount of scouting xp you get has increased a lot.

2 elite combat profs masteries (simultaneously) will get you CL80 . . . 1 elite will get you CL 54 . . . 1 elite + master brawler will get you CL 56
not sure about marskman or medic or scout but I'd assume they do the same as master brawler.
