Thread: Old Man, Force Crystal issues.

I'm guessing there's a bug that causes a conflict between ROTW quest journal and the Force Crystal. They better fix this damn game before they add another stupid "feature" that adds MORE bugs.

dont feel bad im going on my 4th day and no old man getting tired of waiting for him, from what i read the whole force sensitve quest is bugged in many areas from bad crystals to messed up mission jornals prob another CU bug.

Okay, I realize this is probably the 1000th post about this crap, but here we go.
The Old Man visited me the first time a couple nights ago. He gives me the crystal and all is good. Well, I read that the Crystal should open my journal. So, I double click on it....nothing happens. So I open my Quest journal. Nothing is in there about the Old Man. I had the option to view completed quests on, nothing. I'm thinking and thinking and decide that, for some reason, my crystal is bugged. (This is where you vets say "ooh, it wasn't, damn.")
So I wait for the Old Man again. Earlier today, I ran into some Sith Shadows. I killed them both, made sure I was careful with looting, and got the waypoint disk. Of course, when I tried to use it, the message about not being able to understand the information was given. "Cool, I don't have the Force Crystal. No biggie."
Later today, the Old Man shows up while I was outside the Emperor's Retreat. We go through the deal and he offers me the Crystal. I open my Quest journal...there's stuff there! Two, in fact. One about seeing the Old Man, then another about a Sith Ambush. Both were checked off. So I open my inventory....NO Force crystal.
So, what next? Wait for the Old Man again?

Dude, same problems here. Put a ticket in for it, that's what I did. But I was an idiot and deleted the datapad, I figured "I must be bugged." that probably wasn't a smart thing to do 
Anyhow, a friend told me this mission is bugged....

Woha i was taking to a guild member they have been waiting weeks for the old man he must be bugged, im hearing more and more ppl are not getting a visit with in 3 days.

4 weeks here.
I'd forgotten abut the crystal though, it's been sat in my house all this time. Maybe I should go pick it up again.

Well I picked up the crystal again and it basically shows exactly the same as in my normal quest log.
Should I have a mission in there saying something along the lines of "Wait for the Old Man" because at the moment there is nothing?

So, update. The Old Man came again, I went through the dialogue, and while I saw the message saying I have the crystal, I did not receive it.
Curiously, the second and now third time he's visited, I've been talking to Imperial NPCs. The second time, I was outside the Emperor's Retreat, talking to the pilot trainer. The third time, I was actually in the Imperial Outpost on Yavin. Go figure. Both times, I "stopped conversing" with the NPC so I could talk with the Old Man. I've decided to seclude myself to the boonies until he comes.
