Thread: HELP ways to beal mel as a melee prof?
Im going to tell you exactly how I did it. I died 2x but I had a friend with me who could rez. So unless you have feign death, you need a rez player. Youll need at least 4 or 5 powerful players. AT least 1 good tank if not 2. Then some ranged. Reason being, Mel is one tough son of a $%^&# and you don't want to get too close if you don't have to. My swordsman kept him busy while we whipped on him from a distance. It's good to root him too.
You'll need someone with a nice rifle. We took out the crystals from a safe distance then a tank ran in and hit Mel with a ranged attack which aggro'd him. You could also aggro him with the same rifle. We let him chase us to a nearby lair and the animals helped. All of the ranged players rooted him at one point or another and the tank stayed engaged. Keeping him busy while we pounded away with the guns. One mistake we made was we tried to take Mel on without destroying the crystals. Bad move. Even about 50 to 60 meters out, the crystals still healed him. So take out the crystals then draw Mel out. You dont need to take out daktar and the other sith's. It took us a total of about 20-30 minutes. Good luck! Bring a healer or two.
You need friends. I don't think you can do this solo or with 1 or 2 people. Mel is like level 85.

1 The amount of damage you do may theoretically allow you to defeast him without destroying the crystals. But if your going with 16 Jedi, how much more work will it be to take out the crystals.
2 Ive heard a rumor that if someone other than you destroys the crystals, that it could bug. But my frind took the crystals out and there was no problem fortunately.
