Part 1

thought i would help clear up some of the confusion since i just completed the quest.

crafting the meds is based on how many experimentation points you have. i.e i was Master medic, Be 0004, i had 10 points to experiment with. with 950+ OQ flora and metal, i could experiment 2 times (max first time of 8) and then 2 on the second try and as long as i got great successes on both attepmts, i would come out with a 92% which is just enough to make the internal bleeding meds.

in order to get the 85-90 meds, id experiment 1 point at a time until i got the desired range,.. then i would experiment on the residuel effects until they were gone or got to one of the lower symptoms, mainyly the puss filled lesions. i would continue this until i made enough meds to cure all 5. (note here: if you experiment the right way, you can eliminate the residuel effects so that you dont need to craft other meds to cure them, i just chose not to on the lower end stuff because i knew i could make a cure with no residue effects)

as far as material wise, make sure you bring high and low quality stuff to craft with.. when combined, you need less than 8% to make the fever cure so get quality stuff that is <100 to make those. so bring enough 950+ OQ to make all of the 50%+ meds and use the lower end stuff to make the others. id bring some ~300OQ stuff to make the 30%-50% stuff since you will only get 1 experimentation point on the <100OQ stuff.

after i completed my quest, i dropped BE to start on my grind template and just for S&G tried to craft again. i only had 5 experimentationpoints left with master medic and the best i could do was a 66% with an amazing success. So the BE 0004 give you the extra 5 experimentation points that allows you to craft the higher end meds.

Part 2 (more precise incase the first confused you)

Requirements to get the quest- you only need master medic to talk to Silvas (sp)to accept the quest.

you MUST experiment on the meds using a crafting droid and chemical and food crafting tools (general tools dont allow you to experiment)

with master medic, you will only be able to craft up to the 66% meds (thats what i was able to craft after i dropped BE and i got that with an amazing success on 950OQ flora and metal) im sure if you had 999OQ both , you might get ~70% with an amazing success since that would start you out ~30% before you experiment. with my 950OQ stuff i was starting out at 26% primary, 24% secondary and 26% residual.

with master medic AND BE 0004, i had 10 total experimentation points to spend. i dumped all 10 into primary to get 92% primary, 25% secondary and 26% residual. that would give me the internal bleeding, vomiting and RE of puss-filled lesions. if i got an amazing sucess i would have 1 point over that i dumped into RE and it would change it to erractic heart rate (needless to say, if i got the amazing success i put the extra point into secondary or didnt use it at all)

with just master medic, i only had 5 points to experiment with. So with that said, you can see why having BE 0004 is an extra benifit to have. not necessary to have, but useful if you dont want to pay someone else to make the meds for you.

and just fyi, i had a guy tip me 250k to make 5 of the internal bleeding cures for him.

IF you have BE 0004 you will be able to craft ALL of the cures for yourself BUT you do NOT need BE 0004 to take the quest.

part 3 (thanks to fullcontact)

Ok, this quest is in 3 parts. Heal 5 for the unlock, heal another 5 for the necklace and another 5 for the plant.

ADVICE: You dont get notified when you have completed the 5 - if you dont talk to the chick who gave you the quest, you will just keep healing and healing, more than you need to. So after 5 - talk to the mission giver for your unlock. You can then talk to her again for your extended healing quest.

Now, what the suggested guide doesnt really explain well enough is - God damn it! What the hell do I do exactly? I dont understand whats being asked. In short, here is how to go about it. Let me explain in simple terms.

Talk to a droid and he will talk in a white bubble and you think - what the hell did you just say? Talk to him again for the black box and your 2 responses - and leave it there for a moment. You will notice that the droid says something like ... this patient is suffering from Fever, vommiting, blood clotting, etc and will mention about 6 things wrong - the villager is basically on his death bed.

Close your dialogue box, get the droid's "Thankyou" response and just drag and drop your first med onto the droid. He will tell you to talk to him again to get an update on the health of the villager. Do this and if you heal the symptoms in the correct order, they will disappear and you can continue dropping relevant meds onto the droid.

The trick is to work your way backwards. ie If the droid mentions that they are suffereing from violent convulsions last, then treat that first. Then work you way back to the next last issue.

CONFIRMATION: If you craft or have a med that heals the last 1, 2, 3, etc symptoms, then yes, all of them will disappear. BUT, if your med heals the last, second last, not the third, but the forth last, then you will only heal the last and second last (not the forth) and will have to treat the third last and forth last in that order. Annoying, but hey, thats whats needed.

part 4 (all encompasing thanks to akz)

Hopefully this guide will clear up alot of confusion around. I sacrificed my free branch unlock to bring you all this guide

Location of Quest Giver

  • East of the Village Elder, along the Walls, surrounded by wounded Villages and Medic Bots.

What do you need before accepting the Quest

  • Doctor with Craft IV Branch

  • Medic Bot with Crafting Stationn Built in

  • Food Crafting Tool(s)

  • 500 Flora Resource with very high OQ and PE

  • 500 Flora Resource with very low OQ and PE

  • 500 Metals with very high OQ and UT

  • 500 Metals with very low OQ and UT

Why the different resources? High Quality so you can reach 92% Experimentation, Low quality so you can reach the 8% Experimentation.

Doing the Quest

  1. Talk the Droid and ask for the symptoms (what's wrong with the patient)

  2. It'll give you a complete list.

  3. You will have to make a medicine (the draft schematic will be give to you by the Quest Giver. Use your Food tool to find it.)

  4. Experiment the medicine to cure that specific sickness. When you are experimenting the medicine, in the box on the top left corner, it will state what the medicine can cure. Each experimentation will change that.

  5. Patients are usually with 5 - 8 symptoms, meaning you have to give the Bot 5 - 8 kinds of medicine to cure the patient.

  6. Once cured, the Bot will tell you so.Talk to it again to move on to the next patient.

MUST KNOWs

  • Cure 5 people, talk to Silvarra, before continuing to cure 5 more for your rewards. Do not attempt to cure 15 people in a row. That's what I did and it cost me my branch unlock. I only ended up with the plant, no necklance, no unlocks.

Experimenting Your Cures

  • There are 3 'attributes' for the cure schematic. 3 attributes which you can experiment on. Each point spent in experimenting, if succesful, usually will move you 'up' the symptom list. Fever being the lowest, Internal Bleeding the higest. For a list and more info, visit Clicky

  • There are Primary Attribute, Secondary Attribute and a 'Side Effect' Attribute. For the sake of simplicity, do not spend experimentation points on the Secondary Attribute and 'Side Effect' Attribute.

  • When you experience a failed experimentation, sometimes you get a 'Side Effect', like fever. Meaning if you give that medicine to the Patient, it will cure the patient of whatever is stated under the Primary and Secondary Attribute, but will also gain what is stated under the 'Side Effect' Attribute. The only to remove the 'Side Effect' is to spend experiment points on it. (That's when you should experiment the 'Side Effect' Attribute)

Hopefully this will clear up all questions.

MOD can u sticky it for a few weeks?
