grenade still gives combat exp, so it reamins good. But its use has changed. You can't destroy something only with grenades, not enough dmg and timer that prevents throwing loads of grenades. It also has a much bigger radius, aggroing all mobs nearby.

When group hunting, use your normal weapon until only 1 mob left. Then throw a grenade on him, but don't use the normal weapon. Leave the others in the group kill it. Then when hitting the lair, and other mobs are respawning. Thenrepeat with the nades, as long as the timer on the grenade allows you to do it.

They are still good to have in my case. I'm master BH/Commando and I have been grinding my exp by hunting in a group. Grenades work best when you are in a group with people who can dish out damage well. The trick is to use one grenade in the most crowded area. The attack will hit all creatures in the radius. Best thing to do is hop on your vehicle and speed off until they unagro. Let the group then kill them off. Remember you ahve to have group memebers that are willing for you to take advantage like this.Also you can't attack them with your weapon if you want to get full combat experience for the kill. Thats why this can be annoying to other groupmates. But yeah to answer your question, they are still good because combat experience from grenades, even though you cant use them often, is still better then the constant killing with the pistol.
