Ok well........ I go to talk to Paemos and get my 2 free unlocks. Well I chose Melee Speed and Melee Defense. Well me being my smart self decided to do the quest that my buddy was doing not realizing it was also melee speed. Well it was too late and I wasn't paying attention after I realized what I did. I now have like I guess 1 million something force xp, but I'm not using it because all I can chose from the trainer is melee speed. I have to complete the quest so there is no point in me using this xp. So after I complete the quest and get melee speed, am I going to be able to train in something else, will I have to wait till the next phase? , or will that xp just sit there and me not be able to use it. Thanks guys!!! really hope I didn't screw myself over.

Finish the quest, you do not have to seeing as how you already unlocked melee speed for free. The xp you got should be able to be used in anything, your best off finishing melee speed quest and getting the reward, and then grinding the xp for it. Save the xp and put it into something else later.

Blaynez, the FS XP cap for any one tree of FS skills is 1.25 million.
You have 1.25 million Combat Prowess FS Xp, and 1.25 million Enhanced Reflexes FS xp.
You can choose to wait to train a different skill, but be aware that you will lose any XP you convert to Enhanced Reflexes or Combat Prowess XP in the meantime, because you're capped.
WHAT! Did the devs change it to have a cap.....I don't know since I'm finished with the branches...but in my experience there was no xp cap on any of the FS branches. In fact when I used my 3 unlocks, I did it all a the same time and got 3.7 million xp....then went to nolden and trained ranged speed, ranged def and melee def.....I didn't lose any xp.....then I went and saved up 2 million xp and used it after unlocking my next 2branches.....still didn't lose any xp then.....
So to my knowledge there is no cap on FS xp.....but again, unless it's changed ***Shrug***
However, original poster really screwed up....you just added another 3 weeks to your grind if you had specific unlocks you wanted to do.

If you do not have any fs skills I believe it caps at 1.2 million. But when you gain an entire tree the cap is like 5 million or something. I think that is how it works. Not really sure on it though, so don't quote me.

He was referring to the character in the Bio link earlier (Yogi-bear). His comment had nothing to do with your initial post. But it wouldn't be a forum if the threads didn't drift. It just drifted really fast this time.

I have novice only in combat prowess. I also currently have 2.3 million FS combat xp. The cap may be lower before you get novice (I unlocked melee speed before I hit 1.2 million). But you don't need to fill a branch, or even a block of a branch, to get the high cap.

Huh. Well, I wasn't aware that as soon as you train novice in a tree, that the FS XP cap went to 5 million.
Nevertheless, you can only have 1.25 million FS xp saved up in one treeif you haven't trained the novice box for that tree.
