Thread: some food to help the grind

ok, first off i never bothered with food other than brandy and canape (both mind) while grinding the force trees. I should have put more thought into it.

While grinding jedi, i still use brandy. But i don't need canape anymore. What I've been using is pikatta pie and citrus snow cake.

The only reason I mention this in this forum is because out of curiosity i took my alt to dantooine with a crate of grenades. I had buffs and drank brandy, but ate the pie and snow cake. I noticed 2 major things, I didn't need canape because with the 50% dodge, quenkers were never hitting me. But the better thing was that my grenades NEVER missed because of the 40% accuracy snow cake.

Just thought i'd pass this on to those grinding out, the best part is that when you do get padawan and start the grind to novice lightsaber, these foods will also help A LOT because your training saber will miss A LOT without snow cake.

If you throw grenades at a lair, you never miss - regardless of food or other accuracy modifers. You have a 100% hit ratio on a lair.

i think when i left the village grenades were just catching on, but I noticed that you are correct, i never missed the lair, but i'd miss creatures around the lair. But the other thing is that I also would chuck grenades at mobs that didn't have lairs, like packs of spiders on endor or yavin. In all these cases without the snow cake I missed some with grenades, but after eating the snow cake, i never missed.

Is the Idea (about the greanades) to keep chucking at the lair, or get them to spawn and keep chucking them into the crowd of MOBs? I only use C12's, so it takes a lot of grenades and I want to be sure i am using the correctly....

Thanks in advance,

Cisco

well when i was doing it i aggroed the lair until i had at least 5 creatures on me, then i'd chuck the c-12 at the lair, anything within 5m got hit, but there were some misses which is why i started this post.

Some players will say to only use grenades to aggro the lair, that's up to you. My only suggestion is to work out the time vs. xp ratio and do what works best for you. For me the best time/xp ratio was to use 2 grenades on each lair and wipe them out with pike or fencer (i did 1 tree with each). So with the 10 uses it worked out that I could transfer 900k weapon and about 150k combat each hour. This proved to be the best time/xp ratio for me. I know other players can do better, but this allowed me to maintain interest in the game because quite honestly, holo grinding was boring but more fun than village grinding.

Also, disregard all those that say the jedi grind sucks, its not that bad and since its new, its fun

Get the mobs aggro'd on you, step into the lair, attack the lair, then start pitching those grenades at the lair. Make sure that if/when the grenades kill something that the lair remains your target. Throwing at the lair, you don't miss at all. The only time I ever missed was when my target switched to a mob instead of the lair.

EDIT: Also, if you have Feign Death, hit the lair with your weapon, making sure the lair is the last thing you hit, then Feign Death. Wait until all of the second wave spawn, then stand up. You'll get ALL of the mobs aggro'd on you and be able to damage them all. Much better to be throwing grenades at 8-10 mobs than just 4-5.

Ok, thanks... It takes a boatload of C12's to kill stuff. I appreciate the tips.

yes there is, but i have not tried it. I have to go buy some more foods in the next couple days, I want to see what, if anything, it does for jedi xp. The way I see it though is that if i can only get 60k of jedi xp an hour, then 63k an hour isn't worth the 25% stomach filling it requires.
