Hey all,

New to being glowy here... Just hope none of my BH friends read this post yet. (heh).

I appear to have 'zoomed' to glowing as I have not mastered a combat profession yet. I am really close

to master swords however (10K Combat xp should do it). Ive completed the old man visit, two sith attacks no problem

and am now at the village to start training.

I did attempt to unlock my first branch yesterday by hunting the sith camps with the radiation detection thing, but got

incap/db quicker than i could drink a brandy.

What do you guys think are the minimum (skill) requirements for completing these quests? I really dont want to spend

money on buffs unless necessary, but due to the fact that i didnt even hit one of the beggars before being db'd Im not sure

master swords would suffice.

Maybe I was just unlucky?

Thanks

Well I was master marksman and just beginning on carbineer when I started at the village so that's the very minimum skill requirement. However, it takes me ages to do these missions alone so I try not to. I use tank bots and tank pets, one of each when I have to manage on my own, droids anyone can use, for pets you need creature handler novice. Common tactic is sending my strongest bot in to get aggroed, followed by my strongest pet, and after that I start to pick them off. As soon as the pet and droids are nearing incap, I peace, run away, store, and take out the next set and go at it again.

It takes a long time but sometimes I don't have a choice but to do it on my own.

For food, I eat two won wons, one exo protein, and drink one brandy and one accaragm.

Your best bet to complete the missions is to complete master swords and then go in with a lot of brandy and a full set of buffs. I'm a TKM / Master Doc and with buffs / armor - the missions aren't too bad. However, if you're not at least an elite combat profession, you'll get taken down pretty quickly by the sith shadows on the missions.

I was unbuffed and only used brandy + intimidate + normal attacks to do this combat phase of the village. You can draw out the enemies one or two at a time if you're paying attention and then just get them into melee range (I'm swords like you) and auto attack them. As long as you can stim yourself and you watch your HAM you'll be fine. Of course you could just get buffed and wipe the floor with them, but I can't really justify all that preparation for something I can do without them.
