Thread: Badges are now a commodity

what does this have to do with force sensitivity?
I've sold a few warren badges. But I do all the work and waste a lot of time getting around that place. If people are lazy, they will pay. So I say charge em a lot for that laziness.
It has to do with FS because people are selling the badges to get into the village.
I think the real problem is that people think the true endgame is how much money you have. Typical capitalist additude. They dont realize the real point of this game is to have fun. So they will find anything that is possible to sale. And its one rudementary cause for the economy's problem.
As ranger I charged for hunts and searching out good spots on Dathomir. I know Dathomir like the back of my hand. But I never charged more then my expenses for it and always tried to make it fun. I never abided lazy people though. If someone wants their hand held they need to go play something else. Success at some goal is all the more sweeter when you do most of the work yourself.
We got people paying real world money for jedi characters then acting like it was some huge accomplishment because they went to their job to work. How is this badge selling going to work into this? Just makes the problem more prevelant.

Oh, and by hand-holding, you don't mean SOE already providing a waypoint on the map for you to follow? I guess we should all be more noble and ignore the provided points and explore until we run into them...if that is how YOU want to play, go ahead.
Selling tours to gather POI's is fine in my book....people can do what they want for a credit. Some newer players may not be strong enough to encounter these POI's...in case they get mobbed in the Agrilat Swamp for example, and having a guide to follow may be something they want.
People can charge for whatever they want to charge for in this game. It is a free economy with no morals attached to it.
I used to watch the bazaar for rug adhesives posted by new players who didn't realize the value...I have picked up 10 or 12 of those for less than 60k, and I made millions back on them. I guess I should have bought the adhesive, located the seller, and give it back to them for a second chance?
In short...leave people alone and let them enjoy the game in which ever way they choose.
And if you think that is bad, check this out
Clicky
Do you help Jedi player to regain their lost XP?
Yes, this is a special service and is priced separately to the rest of the list.
On average we charge by time consumed, but as this can be a sticky job, due to Bounty Hunters and the like, we have to
evaluate cost on an individual basis. IE: On average our grinding team can easily get you between 600k and 1.5mil a day
as long as there are no issues.
We do endeavor to keep well away from any form of conflict with other players especially Bounty Hunters, and always have a
doctor on call to resurrect so in the unfortunate event that the character does get hunted and killed during the grind,
the XP loss will be minimal.
Any lost XP however will take extra time plus money to regrind, and it is crucial that the buyer understands this risk.

Yes...that clicky is ridiculous. THAT defeats the purpose of the game.
Yeah I totally agree, the first time I saw it I snarfed Dr Pepper all over my monitors here at work. Everytime I think about this it makes me wonder if 1) anyone actually does this and 2) if they do this whats the point of even playing the game?
