I am going to grind 2 or 3 senses branches, and I'm about to grind out either Dancer or Musician to do this. Someone told me dancer is faster at getting xp, any truth to this? I'd rather do musician, but I'll do dancer if it's faster.

A quick reply to this would be great, as I'm just about to start.

I've been both, and found that I gained musician xp faster than dancer. However, I guess it all depends on how much time you're letting lapse between flourishes.

musician is a much longer grind, and there are fewer of them around to train you. do dancer.

i am planning on doing dancer as well and have been told you cap in about 12 hrs of afk dancing. this may take a lot longer than caping combat, but you can do it while you sleep/work/school. with that in mind, in my opinion, 12 hrs afk is way less time than 2-4 hrs grinding at the keyboard.

Yeah, its supposed to be something like that .....thought with dancer xx44 (dancing Exotic2) i cap 50k dancer xp in about an hour or so....without an insp. buff and without a group of course...so with those conditions it might take a bit longer that 12 hours...maybe 16 will do the trick .....*crosses his fingers*

A friend and I started dancer and musician (respectively) at the same time, using almost the same macro to do it AFK. Training aside (we paid so we didn't have to wait/find anyone), I mastered dancer much faster than she mastered musician. So my vote is for dancer. I'm currently grinding out senses with dancer, it takes me about 12-18 hours doing exotic 4 to cap out @ 900k dancing and around 200k-400k of entertaining xp (depending on how long I left the macro running). Also, FYI: The ratio is 10:1 (dancing:fs).

Hmm, do you cap that with a group or on your own? (heh, kinda looks like i'll be needing "master" dancer to cap in 16 hrs =P)

I just did my last two lines for FS on another char using Musician and it went pretty fast once I got up to musician xx44. With a macro going afk I was capping at 900k Musician and 500k Entertainer xp in about a day, depending on the group I was in. This translated to 140k FS XP. You only need to go up to xx44 so you can cap on both musician and entertainer xp and use the best instruments. And it turns out the song does not dictate how much xp you get, it goes by what instrument you are using. So I actually only used SWG1 so I would never have any problems in groups. And some songs are bugged so you do not get the full amount of xp for it. I did try Dancer but it just seemed too slow for me.

If ya wanna be able to play, and then do AFK stujff try dancer, doc/CM that way you can grind out both ways and get that much more xp in and ya don't have to stop really playing

On a sidenote I have Mpike, Msw, MTK and cap all 3 xp types in spin grps in about 2-4 hrs depending on LFG time and get great FS xp out of it
